VINDICATION?!?! NOT EVEN CLOSE!!
This is a Markle family scandal, not a royal one, and anyone hailing it as a "thumping vindication" for Meghan has forgotten her entire record.
I made the case on The Mark Dolan Show alongside the great broadcaster Mark Dolan and top lawyer allegations against Thomas Markle are sickening. He denies them all, calling them "sick lies", and the authorities in the Philippines are investigating. If anything is proven, he deserves every ounce of condemnation coming his way.
Sympathy for any daughter in that position is natural. Vindication is something else entirely.
Her own statement has already had to be corrected. She said the claims reached the authorities in 2018. The Met says the letter arrived in January 2019 and was passed to the Sussexes' office for awareness, with nothing shared with any other police force. Her spokesman now calls it a "discrepancy of a few months".
And she has form. The Archbishop of Canterbury contradicted her "secret wedding" claim. She had to apologise to the Court of Appeal for forgetting she had authorised briefings to the authors of Finding Freedom. The NYPD reported no collisions, injuries or arrests after the New York "car chase".
None of this erases the Oprah interview, which aired while Prince Philip was still in hospital, or the Netflix series, or Harry's memoir. There has never been an apology for any of it. Andrew Neil nailed it: "It doesn't roll back everything she did in these appalling interviews, the Netflix documentary and so on."
Today the King flies to the Caribbean to lead the Commonwealth, doing his duty as he always has. Meghan is a PRIVATE CITIZEN, and the Markles' troubles belong to the Markles.

Apologise? No. Britain abolished the slave trade in 1807, and the Royal Navy's West Africa Squadron went on to free around 150,000 Africans. The King can be proud of that history, not sorry for it. x.com/DailyMail/statβ¦
Should King Charles apologise for historic slavery while in the Caribbean? Have your say in the Palace Confidential poll trib.al/MmJPzcO

SEVEN YEARS AGO TODAY, this was the headline: Harry and Meghan were "considering creating a second base in the US". Seven years, three countries and four homes later, the royal frauds are still bouncing back and forth like ping pong balls.
That very month Harry told a television own would be "an amazing place to be able to base ourselves". Days later it was California. By Christmas they were hiding out on Vancouver Island, and in January 2020 they announced they would split their time between Britain and North America.
Queen Elizabeth settled that at Sandringham: there would be no half-in, half-out.
Off they bounced to a borrowed Beverly Hills mansion, then to Montecito. Frogmore Cottage, refurbished for them at a cost of Β£2.4 million to the public purse before they repaid it, was handed back in 2023.
And of course two months ago they bounced back to the UK with their children.
Harry still cannot decide which side of the table he is on. One minute he tells the BBC he "would love reconciliation" with his family. In the same interview he says he cannot see a world in which he brings his wife and children back to Britain.
Seven years after that "second base", the only thing the manchild and his wife have never moved out of is their royal titles.

Apologise to Meghan Markle?!?! She has so much to apologise for, and never has and never will. And as for the manchild, if Harry had any respect for the family and the institution he comes from, he'd have conducted himself very differently.

WE IMPLORE YOU, YOUR MAJESTY! THE ROYAL FRAUDS' DAYS OF CASHING IN ON THE CROWN MUST END OR THEY WILL HAUNT YOU FOREVER.
Harry and Meghan will go on haunting the Crown until the day their titles are taken away, and every week they keep them proves it.
I discussed this on st night, and I will keep saying it as often as it takes.
In 2020 the late beloved Queen Elizabeth was clear at Sandringham: no half-in, half-out. Notwithstanding what their mouthpieces now argue, the pair AGREED to stop using their HRH titles and step back from royal duty, then spent the next six years selling the very royal story they claimed to be escaping. A Netflix deal, a Spotify deal, a memoir called Spare and a jam brand called As Ever all trade on a title the British people gave them for a job they refuse to do.
Hollywood has already delivered its verdict. Spotify ended the partnership in 2023, and one of its own executives, Bill Simmons, famously called them "grifters" on his podcast. Netflix downgraded their deal to a first-look arrangement. With the money and the contracts drying up, the Sussexes are DESPERATE for the limelight that California no longer accords them, and Britain, with its proximity to Harry's family, is where they come looking for it.
Meanwhile Harry remains a Counsellor of State, legally one of the handful of people who can stand in for the King. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a page on the Royal Familyβs official website, sitting alongside the people who actually turn up for Britain, who are its pride.
The King has already shown what is possible. When his own brother's conduct brought shame on the institution, he took away Andrew's titles and honours, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor now lives as a private man. It was a hard decision about his own family, and it proved that no title is beyond the Crown's reach when the Crown's good name is at stake.
The Sussexes require the same treatment: the dukedom gone, their pages taken down from the royal website, and Harry struck from the Counsellors of State list β Parliament's job, and it should do it. These are PRIVATE CITIZENS, and the record must concur.
Until that happens they will keep making a spectacle of themselves, and every new grievance will land on the doorstep of a King and a Prince of Wales who are busy doing the work. Strip the titles, and the Sussex freak show loses the only thing anyone ever paid to see.
