With the Panthers’ loss to the Packers, a win over the Falcons on Sunday would put the Buccaneers just a half-game out of first place in the NFC South.
Not to mention, they’d own head-to-head wins over both Atlanta and Carolina.
Massive game ahead for the Bucs.

If the Buccaneers fall to 2-6, they could enter seller mode ahead of the trade deadline.
Following the blockbuster Jeffery Simmons trade, teams looking for a DT may turn their attention to Vita Vea, and Tampa Bay could fetch quite a haul in return.

More progress for Bucs at practice today — Antoine Winfield full go, Emeka Egbuka in a regular contact jersey, Luke Goedeke working on the side with a trainer. Josiah Trotter back from illness.

The Buccaneers have been viewed as potential sellers at the trade deadline, but why not go all-in on the NFC South instead?
Todd Bowles has built a top-10 defense, but there’s one glaring weakness.
A blockbuster trade with the Eagles could fix that.

He’s a big play waiting to happen for the Buccaneers, and has emerged as the team’s X-factor.

Buccaneers’ OL was utterly dominant, and they didn’t even have Luke Goedeke, who was out due to injury.
Both of the Bucs’ wins have featured dominant rushing performances with 200+ total yards on the ground.
That’s the identity for this team and the winning formula.
If they can do this on a consistently level, watch out.

Bucs are up to 254 yards on 43 (!!!) carries today.
This rushing attack is unstoppable when the offensive line/tight ends are blocking like this.

Halftime thoughts with the Bucs dominating the Panthers 33-6.
🏴☠️ This Bucs’ winning formula is a strong running game. It worked against Dallas in Week 5, and it’s working again today. When the running game, led by Bucky Irving, gets going behind this OL, it’s hard to slow this offense down.
🏴☠️ Special Teams is playing lights out. Fumble recovery and a blocked XP returned for a touchdown.
🏴☠️ Baker Mayfield hasn’t had to do too much thanks to the dominance of the running game, defense, and special teams — and that’s actually ideal. Baker is being allowed to settle back in after missing three games with an injury.
🏴☠️Pass rush is having another good game. Multiple sacks including a strip-sack that led to a defensive touchdown.
🏴☠️ Zyon McCollum notched his first interception of the year along with a touchdown coming off the blocked XP. He continues to have a great season.
