The twelve men who knew Him best, along with thousands of others that He preached to after His resurrection, spent the rest of their lives under intense persecution and imprisonment proclaiming that they had seen Him rise from the dead. The Apostles went to gruesome deaths (with who died in exile) never once recanting that they had personally spoken to Jesus after His crucifixion.

Do you really think they would’ve forsaken all earthly pleasures and endured such unimaginable hardship unless they were 100% certain they’d seen the Messiah conquer death itself?
What evidence proves Jesus rose from the dead?

This is something I’ve legitimately always wondered about. When I was a kid if I ever had a fever (very infrequently, thankfully) my mom would wrap me in heavy blankets, have me drink lots of water, and have me sweat it out. With few exceptions, the fever usually broke in a day, two at most. It wasn’t until I was an adult and married that I learned from my wife that conventions wisdom is to take medicines that reduce the fever.

To me this has always seemed counterintuitive, but it might be a quirk of how I was raised. Anyone else care to weigh in?

This is the Oxyrhynchus Hymn, dated to the late 200s AD. It is the earliest known Christian hymn manuscript with both lyrics and musical notation. A plain English rendering of the surviving words:

β€œLet all creation be silent.
Let the shining stars be still.
Let the rushing
While we sing to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
let every power answer: Amen, amen.
Strength, praise, and glory forever to God,
the only giver of all good things. Amen, amen.”

Spoiler alert: it’s a tuba solo
Around 1500, Hieronymus Bosch painted sheet music on a sinner's bare butt in hell. 500 years later, someone transcribed and performed it. Now you can hear the original butt song from hell.

>Van Helsing gets a sequel
Nature is healing
Universal Picture has greenlit a sequel to the 2004 action horror film; VAN HELSING with High Jackman reprising his role as Gabriel Van Helsing for the last time.

To be directed by Stephen Sommers.
Filming to begin in 2027
Community note
No such Van Helsing sequel has been announced or greenlit by Universal; recent coverage states none is expected. The account self-describes as a satire/parody source.

Just rewatched Dune and MAN, I forgot how much of a drag Chani is. Just scene after scene of pouting and scowling while Paul unites her people and heroically leads them to victory over the outworlders that have plagued them for centuries.

Truly the wettest of blankets.

@TheNicholasWolf A casual read of human history reports the atrocities we can commit.

A casual reading of scripture shows why we commit them

>they are not equipped to understand the premeditated levels of evil we’re involuntarily engaged against
This is all downstream of the decline in Scriptural literacy.

Spend time in the Word, and you see exactly the sinister depths of depravity the Enemy and his servants are capable of, and how keenly they rely on Christians being naive to their true nature.
The unfortunate truth is much of western civilisation are simply too innocent to hear the truth. They are not equipped to understand the premeditated levels of evil we're involuntarily engaged against, and so the emotive sophistry usually works.

Years ago I wrote an article about 'positive consent', because this was all coming over the horizon years ago for anybody who was watching. This is all part of something much bigger that pattern recognition refuses to write off as coincidence.

Abortion. Articles about why not having children makes you happier, or saves the planet etc. Financial restraints and smaller home sizes all proven to result in smaller family sizes, which is our government's policy now with back garden sheds and legally smaller apartments etc. A culture of not marrying and starting a family but prioritising status and arguably superficial achievement. And then positive consent and the newest iteration below are designed to sterilise a population entirely of intimate contact, even completely non sexual. Maybe you won't feel as bad about giving granny over to euthanasia if you've never even hugged her. Maybe you'll be completely dysfunctional in terms of relationships if physical contact was always seen as some sort of contract.

Call me what you like, I'm not wrong in that there's a pattern here that's shepherding a population in lower demographics from just about every angle of attack imaginable. Just because you can't imagine how your enemy operates it doesn't mean that isn't exactly how they're operating.

There is nothing, not one thing, in Irish society that's promoting or incentivising Irish families. There are multiple objective and debatable circumstances moving against them. In this day and age only innocence could ignore what's becoming overly transparent. Which is that replacement migration is an entirely facilitated plan for Europe and beyond.

You think the add below isn't linked to that. But people waging this war alot longer than any of us have figured out that you need the most subtle attacks that tear at the fabric of natural existence to go unnoticed. Otherwise the prey knows something is up. Everything has to be shaped as well meaning or/and victim orientated. Almost nothing is done through force anymore. It's all about exploiting good nature and insecurities.

Normally there's no point being this early in an interpretation or recognition of something. But ask yourself, after all of human existence, why are we now deciding hugging family members is a prominent problem, beyond everything else in Ireland.
