#DailyPictureTheme ”Bewitched” - the Shrew Ash which once stood in Richmond Park was visited by local women as late as the 19th century for magical rites- the original was lost in a storm. This Ash now stands as a bewitching reminder between Sheen and Roehampton gates…

A fabulous end to the day here at a Twickenham with the sun doing its magic to the trees as well as incredible deep red clouds reflecting in the Thames.

📣We have few spaces left for our volunteer sessions on the River Beck on the 10th & 11th Nov!

➡️There’ll be plenty of hands-on activities to get stuck in, such as dead hedging, installing in-channel deflectors and removing invasive vegetation.

The Wet Wipes (Labelling, Sale and Marketing) Bill has been introduced in the House of Commons, with its second reading scheduled for 13 November 2026.

The Bill proposes clearer labelling for non-flushable wet wipes, including a visible symbol on the front of the packaging.🧵⬇️

Clear labelling matters, but so do genuinely plastic-free alternatives. Water firms must also boost their investment in better sewage infrastructure and consumers must dispose of them responsibly. ⬇️
