This the accountability I want to see. Take it on the chin, head high, shoulders back & LEARN from these moments. I fucking love it, we needed this. 🤫
Mikel Brown Jr. on attempting the layup in the final seconds up one rather than pulling the ball out:
“I did see the open lane, and I thought I had a layup, but the ball was kind of already slipping out of my hands, and PG was already coming towards my right side. So I felt like it, I kind of was gonna fall out of bounds. So that was my last resort, in all honesty, but I can't make an excuse. There's a lot of plays down the stretch that I messed up on, that I take full accountability for, and I'm gonna be better.
Was it discussed before the play to dribble the ball out?
“It was discussed to just try to get it in, and try to kill time. That definitely was discussed, but like I said, it's just mistakes down the stretch that I just can't make. I just can't do that."

Hud was offered the opportunity to represent a US Adidas team in Croatia this weekend.
Thank you to everyone that made it happen and for allowing Hud and his teammates to share such a core lifetime experience on and off the court!

2029 6'6 Niles Mason (Petersburg) already proving to be a force. Such a strong, athletic prospect that brings versatility from multiple levels, athletic at the rim, and can impact the game in a variety of ways. Clear D1 prospect on the court. #VATop80

Expect 6'9 2027 Dylan Twitty to have a big year at Blue Ridge & recruitment to pick up. Strong, athletic forward who understands his strengths. Runs the floor. Finishes strong on drop-offs, put-backs & with angles. Rebounds the ball at a high level.

6'5 2029 King Bacot (Petersburg) plays the game at his own speed. Really good change of pace. Gets to his spots efficiently. Has the ability to get his shot off whenever he wants but plays with his head up & looks to get others involved. @THEKINGOF2029KB #VATop80

HC Logan Miller of @Highland_Hoops took down 7 players to Border League East they’ve been dominant through the first two days. Typical production outta guys like ‘27 Jordan Hunter, ‘27 Amani Asare & ‘29 Brayden Ragland.
But I’ve really liked the loud spurts from ‘27 Jamison Ross & ‘28 Jayden Banks. Banks making great decisions as a setup guy while knocking down open jumpers from deep at 6’6”
Ross is abusing the rim anytime he has a path for takeoff on lobs or off the bounce.
