Quick screenshot below of some of the PRO accounts that tried to trade Amazon earnings. These accounts had a max loss limit that couldn't be more than $22,500. The market moved so quick that even the couldn't stop them out. How would they have faired in live?
The total PRO PnL during 3 minutes — from 3:59 PM ET to 4:02 PM ET was -$2.17M.
This is why we have our live-market PRO+ accounts halted for these earnings reports. Slippage and failed liquidation kills accounts.
If they had been live, TPT would be on the hook. Or the trader would be on the hook in their own PA (yes, accounts can go negative). That's not good risk.
If you control your downside, you will be more likely to grow your account.
For full transparency, only six traders profited from trading Amazon earnings, and just one trader who traded during this time made more than $1,500. The losses FAR EXCEEDED the gains. #ItAintWorthIt
