The CPRE Centenary National Awards in THE HOUSE OF COMMONS is this Thursday!!!
These awards mark the 100th year of @CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) and I couldn’t be more honoured to be shortlisted for their Young Countryside Changemaker category!
I’m definitely ing to visiting the House of Commons and meeting some of the incredible people and organisations who have been shortlisted for the awards.

BBC Sussex and Surrey Make A Difference Awards Interview
It was absolutely amazing to be a finalist for the Young Hero category and to be interviewed by the BBC. Here is the interview they posted on their social media!
The editing was done by the BBC, I have just added Be Protected' from the Minster Marshes Official Soundtrack and changed the position of the animation in the interview.

Highly commended in the Young Hero category for BBC Sussex and Surrey’s Make A Difference Awards!
These are some photos of my family and I at the awards ceremony and the trophy I won! Thank you to everyone who has supported me and helped me get to the point I am at today, you - I really wouldn’t be able to make nature documentaries without any of you ❤️
It was also fantastic to celebrate the many people who are making a difference in our local communities and well done to Zac Knight for winning the Young Hero award and to Austin Hunter and Mathieu Glover - the other nominees in the category; the work you all do is truly incredible.
Did anyone also know how many logos the BBC had?!
The awards ceremony was actually all the way back on 22nd September now, but once again, I’m incredibly behind on the posts 😅

Haywards Heath Town Day 2026 ✨
This was a few weeks ago now, but I’ve been really slow at posting recently. 😅 Anyway, I showed some scenes from my documentary ’Minster Marshes’, helped raise awareness of the Save @MinsterMarshes campaign and talked about science, wildlife and veryone who came to see me at my stall, I loved chatting to all of you!

Great Oaks Small School showing of 'Minster Marshes'!
Great Oaks Small School is an independent school for neurodiverse students aged 11-19. In September, they are having to relocate from their site just next to Minster Marshes to Sandwich, due to the proposed construction of station on Minster Marshes. Once again, another example why the converter station must be relocated, as the National Grid are already having an impact on local people, not just wildlife.
After the showing, I was then given a tour around the school, saw the wildlife pond, the forest school, the science and art classrooms and much more. It is such a lovely school, with friendly, caring and accommodating students and staff; an absolutely wonderful place.

'Minster Marshes' showing at Ramsgate Community Cinema!
The documentary was shown alongside The People's Emergency Briefing presented by @ChrisGPackham. There was then a discussion afterwards (which is when the photos were taken) about the climate and biodiversity crisis and the on.
I am a little late to posting about this showing, as it was all the way back in April... 😅 However, I forgot to take photos at the event and have only acquired some recently.
I also believe I am laughing in the second photo with my head down, I promise I'm not asleep! 😂

Boat trip along the River Stour through Minster Marshes ✨
Last week, I went out on a boat trip with Sir Roger Gale and George Cooper to view Minster Marshes from the River Stour. We were invited by Captain Colin Carr and his friend Peter.
It was a very enlightening experience aLink converter station will be and just how much the local area will be disrupted.
In addition, we saw a beaver, well everyone else did but I missed it! I really don’t have the best luck with spotting beavers! If you know, you know… 😂😭
The boat we travelled on, Ferry Nymph, helped return soldiers from France during World War Two, so a very historical boat. Thank you so much to Captain Colin for organising the day out, it was fantastic!
We also went to the pub 😎
