Neurogenic diarrhoea after superior mesenteric artery divestment or resection for pancreatic adenocarcinoma following preoperative chemotherapy: international multicentre retrospective study

In this international multicentre study including 291 patients c artery (SMA) divestment/resection during surgery for pancreatic adenocarcinoma after preoperative chemotherapy, postoperative neurogenic diarrhoea occurred in 66% of patients, particularly after > 180° SMA divestment or resection. Although challenging to manage, neurogenic diarrhoea was not associated with impaired survival.
