Geloofwaardigheid “nul” als je dat bespreekt met de Russen zonder dat de Europeanen mee aan tafel zitten.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 The US is preparing a "grand deal" to end the war in Ukraine and create a new security system for all of Europe, — Kushner.

The plan calls for regular consultations between the countries, the prevention of military conflicts, and long-term security guarantees.

On November 6, we will celebrate the second anniversary of the 24 hours Trump is taking to end Putin’s three-day war, now nearing the end of its fifth year.

A reminder that this war could be over tomorrow if Putin wanted to end it
So many people seem genuinely astonished by this local ceasefire in Oleshky, where Russian occupation and the fighting have driven the city into a full-blown humanitarian catastrophe.

Turns out, all it takes is an order from the Kremlin, and Russians and Ukrainians stop shooting at each other. They can calmly and civilly arrange the evacuation of innocent civilians facing starvation, even allow Ukrainian and American journalists to be present on the ground, and so on.

Well, duh.

There is not, and never has been, a single adequate, rational, even remotely sane reason to wage a war aimed at destroying Ukraine. This is the stupidest, most brainless, absurd, pointless, contrived, and deceitful war in human history.

The Kremlin wanted to give Donald Trump a little gift ahead of the elections, so the Kremlin gave an order to put the bloodbath on hold for a few dozen hours.

All it would take is a single order from the Kremlin, and not only would a local ceasefire become possible, but the entire war would end. Just like that. Instantly.

And 95% of Russians wouldn't give a single damn. They would happily accept absolutely anything as yet another "great victory of Russian arms," provided that's how state television explained it to them.

And with a snap of the fingers, all those insane fairy tales about "NATO expansion," "Nazi Satanists," the "multipolar world," "historical Russian lands," and all the rest of that bullshit would simply vanish into thin air.

The problem is that, in this insane, upside-down looking-glass world, absolutely everything is being done to encourage a megalomaniacal maniac, driven mad by impunity and boredom, to never, ever, under any circumstances stop the war, but to keep it going indefinitely.

Instead, he is constantly appeased and rewarded for it.

I’m on Twitter / X through a VPN in Dallas, Texas, following the midterm elections. I’m actually based in the Netherlands.

And honestly, I’m absolutely stunned by the sheer scale of MAGA propaganda being shoved down Americans’ throats.

It’s as if Elon Musk has shoved a nto the mouths of American voters and is force-feeding them a grotesque blend of oligarchic and fascist propaganda until all that comes out is Republican foie gras.

The amount of Republican propaganda flooding your timeline is genuinely insane.

1. The so-called “America” account.

At the very top of the #1 Trending Topics, you’ll find an advertisement from an account called “America”.

Except it’s not America.

It’s a Republican propaganda account, sporting a gold verification badge, designed to manipulate and indoctrinate American voters.

2. Open Twitter / X from Texas.

A video automatically starts playing, portraying James Talarico as some kind of public enemy.

Cheap, shameless political propaganda.

Not a single word about his opponent, Ken Paxton.

Just an endless stream of attacks on Talarico.

Wonder why?

Perhaps because Ken Paxton has quite a little history of his own:

●Alleged corruption involving wealthy donor Nate Paul.
●Abuse of public office.
●Alleged bribery.
●Securities fraud charges.
●Alleged obstruction of justice.
●Retaliation against whistleblowers.
●Firing employees who reported him to the FBI.
●Alleged misuse of taxpayer-funded resources.
●Alleged interference in law-enforcement investigations.
●Alleged preferential treatment of political donors.
●Undisclosed compensation for promoting a company’s stock.
●Employment assistance for a woman with whom he acknowledged having an affair.
●Impeachment by the Republican-controlled Texas House.
●Acquittal by the Texas Senate.
●A $6.6 million whistleblower settlement.
●Controversy over extensive travel and taxpayer-funded security expenses.

Quite a résumé, isn’t it?

3. Fearmongering.

Republicans are also pushing the narrative that if Democrats win, democracy itself will be doomed.

Let that sink in for a moment.

They’re telling Americans that voting for Democrats is somehow a vote against democracy.

The irony is apparently completely lost on them.

4. Project 2025.

And then there’s Project 2025.

A detailed political blueprint for fundamentally reshaping the American federal government, concentrating executive power and dismantling longstanding institutional safeguards.

Critics have warned that its proposals threaten democratic checks and balances and could pave the way for authoritarian rule.

This isn’t some obscure conspiracy theory.

Its ideas are already influencing and being implemented in American politics.

5. Try a little experiment.

Google “James Talarico”.

The first two results you’ll encounter are sponsored advertisements paid for by TEXAS PAC and MAGA Inc.

Both pushing anti-Democratic messaging.

(See attached screenshot.)

This is what American voters are up against.

An unprecedented propaganda machine, backed by billionaires, political PACs and a social media platform that has become an increasingly powerful vehicle for partisan messaging.

And apparently, we’re supposed to believe this is all just about freedom of speech.

America, you deserve better than this.

Vote Blue. Vote Talarico. Vote for democracy. Vote for peace. For neighborliness. For tolerance. Vote against hate. Vote against polarization. Vote for your wallet. Vote to keep your freedom. Vote for inclusion ans tolerance.

Vote James Talarico.

Do what is needed for the future or yourself ánd your children.

🇺🇦 Hi everyone!

Winter is coming, and for most of us, that means cozy evenings with family and friends. For Ukrainians, it means temperatures of minus 20 degrees or lower, and a Russian army attacking the power grid and warehouses. Putin couldn’t conquer any new territory, so now he wants to freeze people into submission. 🥶

I was in Ukraine in September. My friend Yana, whom I met on the train to Kyiv with her nine-year-old daughter, just texted me that Kyiv had endured a thirteen-hour power cut. ⚡ Generators are scarce and expensive. And the soldiers? They’re in trenches and dugouts with no heating at all.

With the U.S. now betraying Ukraine, even praising Putin as a “humanitarian,” it’s up to the rest of us to step up. ❤️

The Diel Foundation is raising money for thousands of generators, portable power stations and diesel heaters. They keep soldiers warm, and power the drones and radios that keep them alive. 🔌

Want to be a true humanitarian? Please donate today! 🙏

Last year, we raised over a million euros. Will you help us beat that? 💙💛
