Also, Elissa Slotkin worked for the CIA - an organization who regularly, admittedly, uses sex and honeypots to trick people into doing all kinds of things against their will so spare me the lecture on human rights and consent you fucking whale.
Why is everyone so hellbent on putting their ignorance on FULL display?

Far be it from me to defend an Ivy League, but Cornell didn’t just say, “hey, write an essay.” They conducted a 12-day hearing. Six of the seven young men were questioned, as were several witnesses. There s of transcript just from their interviews with Jane Doe alone.

The result was that two of the 7 were expelled, two were suspended for at least two semesters, and two were found not responsible for sexual misconduct (one had already graduated by this time).

Cornell’s 2024 file on this case is allegedly near 600 pages.

It seems like the university did a lot, and according to them, they sent their entire file over to the Tompkins County DA; the DA denies that.

That discrepancy does need to be investigated. It’s unclear why Jane Doe signed a sworn statement that said no rape occurred if that’s not what she felt happened and if that’s not what she told Cornell police.

That is odd—on all parties, including that university police would help her prepare that statement if their own transcript has her saying she was raped, that she would sign that statement, and that the DA didn’t care to investigate further regardless of what the statement said.

The handling of this back in 2024 should be looked into regardless of whether you personally think an assault occurred (and I don’t), but stop promoting the lie the university just had them write essays.

Everything we produce should always be getting cheaper if there is any progress in our technology, capital, or skill and understanding.

The only reason it doesn’t is because you were robbed for the amount of improvement, plus a few additional percent, so the govt can pretend everything it does is free and pay for illegal immigrants, massive corporate subsidies, influence elections around the world, engage in mass murder, and grape and traffic children of course.

Every single time you think gas, or groceries, or the home you wanted to buy keep getting more and more expensive… just think of all the govt corruption, corporate BS, and political grifting you’re supporting and it’ll make it all better. 😁

Six years ago, The Washington Post said that Atlantic hurricanes seasons are going to become much worse due to global warming. Stronger storms, especially near the coast. Hyperactive years like 2020 was said to be a “harbinger of the future.”

Last week, The Washington Post of hurricanes in the Atlantic this year is also potentially because of global warming.

Total wealth of US billionaires = $9 trillion.

If we confiscated all of their wealth, we'd only be able to run the federal government for about 14 months.

Perhaps our problem isn’t how much billionaires have but how much politicians spend.

No wonder they are trying to seal the jury now,l. These crazies need to be shamed and exposed. The kids were brutally murdered and we cannot allow this to continue in society unpunished.

This is absolutely disgusting. She murdered her 3 innocent children in cold blood. Insane or not she deserves none of this. These people don't care because their so selfish and self absorbed, kids are just an inconvenience to them. If you're married someone who donated, run.
🇺🇸 A GoFundMe for the parents of Lindsay Clancy has raised $1.2 MILLION, and because Massachusetts has no “Son of Sam” law, the money could ultimately benefit Lindsay herself.

“As a mom, your heart just goes out to Lindsay,” said fundraiser Brandee Mulligan, adding that “extremely grateful and overwhelmed"

GoFundMe prohibits using donations to defend violent-crime charges, but Lindsay’s father is now the sole beneficiary and could potentially use the money to support his daughter in other ways.

Whether Lindsay is ultimately convicted or committed, a million bucks could sure go a long way for her.

This very much sounds like a West-only AI cartel proposal and, in fact, if you read Dario's essay - under the very telling "pacing within democracies" chapter - he specifically says he'd need the US government to issue an "antitrust waiver" for this.

The plan transparently looks like this: agree among themselves not to compete too hard, get an antitrust waiver to make it legal, and while they're at it, get Washington - under the veneer of "safety" - to kneecap Chinese competitors because only "democratic" models can be in this "safe pacing" club.

I'm not even exaggerating: Dario pretty much writes this explicitly.

There are 3 steps to his plan and step 2 is literally: "Frontier AI companies within democratic countries coordinate to establish common safety standards as well as limits on the rate of unchecked AI progress" -> the "unchecked AI progress" that would need "limits" is simply AI progress that happens outside their agreement. Another word for it is simply competition 🤷‍♂️

He also explicitly writes that "a key part of pacing within democracies is to keep democracies’ AI lead over autocracies as large as possible." You can't possibly be clearer than this...
Dario, Elon, and Sam all agree about pacing the frontier
