Across ten compositions, centuries of temptation, labor, excess, and consequence are recast as a visual reckoning with the systems we accept simply because someone declared them to be so. [NOTE: The source of inspiration for “Fiat Moria” is “Netherlandish Proverbs” by Bruegel. “Fiat Moria” is a loan word, and it's deliberate. Moria isn't Latin. It's Greek, and it's Erasmus's word. He built “In Praise of Folly” on it in 1509, out of the same Northern humanist world Bruegel was painting a generation later. On Erasmus’s word, a wall of proverbs becomes exactly what he said it was: a catalog of folly, arranged for inspection.]

I’m honored to announce that @justinaversano has collected my painting “A Life Scrolled Past” in Marfa that I painted live in Marfa at the @8NAP_ART house, curated by @SteveMiller 🏆🌵

One of the aspects that blows my mind is this piece was actually secured by Justin before I mply from the title and the intention that I had discussed with him prior to the exhibition, Justin knew he wanted to add it to his @fndzionaversano collection instantly and trusted my vision to shape the work.

A 1/1 spatially collaged animation, paired with a 1/1 hand cast sterling silver sculptural ring, and the framed original prototype sketch.

This is the first work that bridges my prior physical collage practice from before NFTs, to my current digital collage practice since NFTs.

Sharing my sculptural process (hand pouring molten sterling silver with the lost wax casting method) to everyone last night was fulfilling and got me excited for casting wearable art again. More on that to come!
