Hello, we're sorry to hear that you encountered a display issue with the tags panel. Your preference for the "Show Tags Panel" toggle should remain saved even after you close the app, so if this isn't the case, can we ask you to try reinstalling the app as an initial step? For a clean uninstalmay refer to the instructions on our website:

standardnotes.com/help/72/how-doโ€ฆ

If you're also using a Mac device with an Apple Silicon processor (M-series processors), you can ensure that you get the Apple Silicon package by using the version selector at the bottom of any page on our website:

Hi David, you may export a backup file of the notes from both of your devices first, if you'd like to be sure that you have a copy of the notes on each device. Please see this help document for more instructions on this: standardnotes.com/help/14/how-doโ€ฆ

Once you have the backup files, you may crof your devices, ensuring that the "Merge local data" option is ticked. This way, the locally created notes and tags on your device will be synced to the newly created account.

Once the new account is ready, you may sign into the new account on your other device as well. Make sure that the "Merge local data" option is also ticked, so that the local notes on your other device will also be uploaded into your account.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our support team at help@standardnotes.com!

@thelonghop Hi! You may try exporting the notes to .md files, then use the Plaintext / Markdown option on our import tool! However, I'm afraid that this tool is unable to automatically upload any embedded attachments, so these must be reattached manually on the notes afterwards.

Adam and Mo discuss what really drives productivity in the latest episode of the podcast.

It isn't tools, routines, substances, or retreats that will ultimately get you there: it's giving your brain the clarity and direction it needs to do its job.

A product changes.
A thing you love shuts down.

Annoying, isn't it?

That won't happen with Standard Notes, the end-to-end encrypted note-taking app that keeps your stuff safe, because it's 100% funded by YOU.

We're in it for the long-run.

Writing is a deeply human act.

To write is to think. Thinkingโ€”is irreducible: it must be endeavored to be solved.

An AI in your personal notes only diminishes the one quality you set out to create. Outsourcing your thoughts to graphics cards isn't writingโ€”it's manufacturing.

Absolutely must watch video by the WSJ about the unreasonable power of your iPhone passcode.

It demonstrates an attack vector even non-sophisticated actors could pull off: watch you put in your passcode, then snatch your phone.

Second brain weighing you down? As approachable as it is, the idea that remembering everything will help you level up is antithetical to how brains work to keep you light on your feet. Wisdom lies not in what you remember but by how experiences shape your brain over time.

There seems to be some ambiguity as to whether an informant recorded the call (the document doesn't say) or whether Discord complied under a legal order.

Discord's privacy policy says "we *generally* do not," which likely means they can, have, and will record when warranted.
