Finau is a player I previously scouted at Athletes in Action Prep, where he immediately stood out with his interior presence. He fights for position, establishes good post presence, d finishes strong at the rim.
Now at South Plains, another part of his game stands out: his ability to stretch the floor. Finau has a good shooting stroke and projects as a legitimate pick-and-pop threat, giving him offensive versatility at nearly 7 feet.
His background supports the two-way profile. At Colleyville Heritage, he was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, earned All-Region and First-Team All-District honors, and recorded 383 points, 249 rebounds and 62 blocks during his 2024 season.
