I have shifted my active development focus from searx to a new search tool called Hister. 🔎

Hister brings your history, documents, and saved pages together in one searchable place, with offline previews and maximum privacy.

#SelfHosted #OpenSource

New on the Hister blog: social feeds are great for discovery, but terrible for finding that useful post again.

See how Hister turns @bluesky, @joinmastodon, @Reddit, @X, and @discourse into one private, searchable archive you control.

Hister can now import from Linkding, @LinkwardenHQ, @karakeep_app, Shaarli, and @wallabagapp. Bring over titles, content, dates, tags, state, favicons, and metadata, with incremental updates where supported. Your bookmarks, searchable in one place. 🔎
