Willie McCovey, too.
One day, Bob took those glasses off and threw the ball 100 miles per hour at McCovey.
I asked Veale what happened, and he said:
t, and I wanted to show him I could throw a strike without my glasses."
That pitch was 10 feet high."

At the age of 58, Bob Veale stayed connected to his baseball roots by working as a groundskeeper at, "Rickwood Field" two days a week.
He played an important role in preserving the storied old ballpark he played in as a child.
"We didn’t know we were breaking segregation laws.
We just thought we were playing baseball.
I had white friends, kids I played ball with all the time.
We weren’t thinking about integrating anything.
We were just playing baseball."
As a boy, Bob Veale played on the sandlots of Birmingham with both blacks and whites.
"Piper Davis made me a bat boy and let me pitch batting practice regularly.
I used to pitch batting practice for the white Barons and come back and do the same for the Black Barons.
When game started I went to the concession stands and did the things I normally did."

The state inspector general found the agency paid consultants nearly $600,000 in UNALLOWABLE travel costs, including trips to gyms, a nightclub, an escape room, a tiki bar, and a cigar y package worth more than $500,000 a year.
Voters were sold a $33 BILLION train in 2008.
Almost 20 years later, the price tag has exploded and there's still no train.
Sean Duffy was right to pull the $4 BILLION in federal grants.

That's the president's daily brief. To avoid any direct links to the election”
“This was a massive effort, what they call a multi-domain operation. That means trade, it means diplomacy, it means open-source information, it means social media. So all the levers of power China had to influence the US election”
And our own CIA worked to make sure the r President wasn’t aware of any of this information, they literally removed it from his daily briefing

Also if you remember awhile back, a former CIA officer named Pedro Israel Orta who worked at the CIA during the Trump Administration said the CIA didn’t even recognize him as the President, they wouldn’t even put his picture up on the wall which was customary for all Presidents
They were actively working against him
