A new era has begun in school education today with the oath taking by Chairman, Vice Chairman and Members of the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB). I am glad to witness the event. I appreciated 60 years of service by SEBA and 40 years of service by AHSEC which will be will now shoulder secondary education, from course design to conduct of examination. I appealed to the new board to focus on integration of skill training with school education and reduce dropout rate.

Due use of different name for the same or similar engineering courses in different state and central institutions, both the recruiting authorities and candidates are facing problems in selection. To resolve the issues, we constituted an Expert Committee to suggest equivalency of Technical Universities and Institutions, including @IITGuwahati , NIT, Silchar etc. The 27-member committee presented its report to me today at Janata Bhawan which was thoroughly reviewed.. The Assam Govt will issue notification soon.

Celebrate #NationalSpaceDay on August 23. @Samagra_Assam
This August 23, join us in celebrating National Space Day with the theme “Touching Lives While Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga” to honour and take pride in our collective achievements.
On 23 August 2023, India achieved a historic milestone when the Chandrayaan-3 lander a soft landing on the Moon. This remarkable accomplishment made India the 4th country to accomplish this feat and the 1st to land on the lunar South Pole. In recognition of this extraordinary achievement, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi has declared August 23 as National Space Day. Let’s come together to celebrate this momentous occasion and the strides we’ve made in space exploration!
