💯- thank you for sharing!
Mulholland Drive celebrated its 25th anniversary a few days ago & it’s a film I’ll watch for the rest of my life. I’m always fascinated by films that earn just one Oscar nomination & that nomination being Best Director. Mulholland Drive is one of those films. This movie’s only Oscar noLynch for Best Director & no other nominations were earned. I think it speaks to the fact that this film is so distinctly Lynch’s vision. But regardless of this film’s accolades, few movies have ever made me feel something like Mulholland Drive.

Brahm - It’s not all about golf courses, although they are an important part of our economy and use less than 2% of our total water.
Moreover, there are several lines where the AG demonstrates a lack of understanding about the economy and the constitutional scope of her own office.
Even the Politico interviewer even seems to weigh in with skepticism about her role in some of these things, and her only response was pointing to how popular these issues are in polls.
I have known Kris Mayes a long time, so it is disappointing to see her take this kind of approach to her position, and to repeat misinformation about Arizona’s water situation that will only hurt everyday Arizonans if we drive good jobs away.

So I read verbatim of her 25-minute interview. Kris Mayes said 'golf courses' once. Idea that a drought-plagued state 'might have too many' isn't exactly controversial. But nice try. This was most interesting comment:

JoAnna Mendoza boasts about raising millions, but here is the reality: her donors are just like her endorsers… they can’t even vote for her.
Mendoza is running a fabricated campaign, fueled by out-of-state interests, not Arizona priorities.
California and New York don’t speak And I’ll never stop fighting for the people I actually represent.

Honored to be invited by the boss, @DougDucey, to @Harvard to talk candidly about governing, leadership, politics and communications.
A great conversation with some incredibly thoughtful students — and a chance to revisit the tough decisions, memorable moments and lessons while reflecting on today’s political environment.
Grateful for the opportunity to share a few stories and perspectives from an extraordinary chapter of my career.

I’m grateful for the leadership of former Governor Doug Ducey and honored to have his support.
As his budget director, I helped develop and pass Arizona’s largest state income tax cut. That experience continues to shape my approach to public service: fiscal responsibility, ng across party lines.
We cannot let out-of-state interests purchase one-party control, as we’ve seen in California. The consequences would be devastating for our state.
Thank you, Governor Ducey, for your friendship, mentorship, and continued support!

Emails just dropped: Mayes’ AG office went to the ACLU and Prison Law Office — the same groups that spent years suing Arizona’s prisons — for help hiring staff.
So much for “moderate.”
Arizona needs an Attorney General with integrity and common sense. Support Warren Petersen.

Out knocking doors and hearing a familiar concern from Arizona families: gas prices are too high.
Arizona’s special gasoline requirements limit our fuel options and can increase costs at the pump.
I support giving Arizona access to the gasoline used in much of the country.
We rotects our air quality and makes life more affordable for Arizona families.

🚨 TWO CANDIDATES. TWO RECORDS. ONE CLEAR CHOICE.
I’ve fought to deliver no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and tax relief for Arizona seniors in AZ06.
JoAnna Mendoza? She lobbied to raise taxes on groceries, diapers, feminine hygiene products, and other basic necessities e was caught CHEATING on her own taxes. @Mendoza4AZ
The choice this November is clear: I fight for your paycheck. Mendoza wants more of it.

Even my opponent agrees — Portland is better off now than it was before I became Governor. While that’s true, there’s more work to do, and I’m determined to see it through. Learn more: tinafororegon.com/oregons-future/

Polling has the Oregon gov race tied or Drazan (R) w/ narrow lead.
Very similar to 2022. Beginning June 30, Drazan was tied or leading.
Kotek (D) didn't get lead 'til 10/13, then won the Johnson (I) defector race.
If no Kotek pop in the next week, that will be different.

This. 👇 Millions are being spent across Arizona. We see the TV ads, the mailers, the spending everywhere.
But when you go looking for the reporting? Crickets. 🦗
Apparently campaign finance transparency is more of a concept than a feature.

It's October 7, and on seethemoney.az.gov there is ... nothing ... to ... see. I mean, nothing.
IEs in Arizona are required to do 7-day reporting and there is a TON of spending flying around - just turn on TV or open your mailbox - but the public, candidates and the press have no way of knowing any of it.
I'm old enough to remember when this was called "dark money."
cc: The Fourth Estate ... or anyone? Anyone?
