Special PV moment #4:
Six straight years of Broadway Under the Stars at Horizon High School. From the 2020 COVID show—where those kids performed the entire thing in full masks—to last year’s legacy performance that brought alumni back from all over the country, and last night’s y final year on the board.
Horizon’s choir program is nationally recognized, and after six years in the audience I can see exactly why. These students never stop impressing me.

Excited for my final Broadway Under the Stars as a PVUSD board member. “Zero to Hero” theme this year, plus dessert under the stars. These Horizon High kids always rise to the moment. Proud of the talent and heart they bring to the stage. Go Huskies!

T-minus 10 days 🚀 to the Nov. 3 election.
Out door-knocking in the Evans precinct with Susan Winder for MC community college board @smartypants1948 and Shelley Davis @azgopeducator
Vet your candidates. Vote the whole ballot even the down-ballot nonpartisan races that hit many people are writing in “Jeff Nelson” @jeffreym_nelson for PVUSD because they’re not happy with the candidates running.

Special PV moment #3:
Driving the grand marshal in Shadow Mountain High School’s 2024 homecoming parade—in a stick-shift, manual-transmission Humvee—while the school celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Nothing quite captures school spirit like shifting gears down the parade route, ilies, and alumni who came out to honor 50 years of Shadow Mountain. It was pure community pride, a little adventure, and one of those moments I’ll remember long after I leave the board.
These are the experiences that make serving on the PVUSD Governing Board so meaningful.
More special PV moments to come.
