Spent the evening last night teaching my son the fundamentals of map reading and navigation. Plotting out a 7km hike. But the real father son moment came today when we hit the trail. Beautiful pictures and a strengthening bond.

Finished REAWAKENING by @orsonscottcard on audiobook from @BlackstoneAudio. It's the second book in the Side Step Trilogy. I enjoyed the first book and this one was just as satisfying. Lots to keep up with and not just the multiple time streams. The protagonists are relentless!

Love the ominous vibe & tension in the @NavalInstitute trailer for RED TIDE from @MPWauthor. A 2025 must read because China is likely coming for Taiwan before the decade is out and, although this is fiction, it's the most plausible and terrifying scenario I've seen so far
