We raised $22.5M to fix both halves of the custom medical device supply chain: the paperwork that blocks them and the manufacturing that slows them.
In America 🇺🇸, it's easier to prescribe a patient opioids than to get them custom insoles to prevent amputation. Three generations at up close and couldn't fix it. Here's what we've built @HikeMedAI :

Today, we’re announcing that we’ve raised $115 million in funding, including a $100M Series A led by @kleinerperkins.
America has lost the ability to build, and we’re here to restore it. My co-founder, @NoahMcGuinn, and I left our jobs at @SpaceX , where we worked on programs arshield, and @Starlink, to build a company that will solve construction’s greatest challenges.
Infrastructure is the foundation of civilization, and construction is the precursor to innovation. If America wants to build a brighter future for the next generation, we have to make it faster, cheaper, and safer to build.
That’s where @TerraFirma_Inc comes in. We’re a new type of company, a robotic construction company that builds the full technology stack needed to deliver an order-of-magnitude improvement in one of the world’s oldest, largest, most important, but least efficient industries.
We are building technology that expands what’s possible in construction on Earth, and then we'll use that same technology to build megastructures and colonies on the Moon and Mars.
We’ve made tremendous progress over the past year, growing the company more than 10x in the last 12 months. We are performing projects across the world. By the end of October 2026, we are on track to operate 3 of the top 3 largest robotic construction fleets in the world, each on a different continent, bringing unprecedented speed, scale, and efficiency to some of the world’s most complex critical infrastructure projects.
This funding will allow us to step on the gas and scale our manufacturing, software, operations, and construction deployments, including work on massive commercial and government contracts.
We’re building the future of construction right here in Austin, Texas, and scaling it globally. If you want to be part of the team changing the world, now and on Mars, join us.
Our Series A was led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Glade Brook Capital Partners, BANNER VC, Saga Ventures, Trust Ventures, Definition, PEAK6, Magnetar Capital, and Ravelin Capital. Huge thanks to all of our angel investors, friends, and family who have helped and supported us throughout this journey.

When we started Profound 18 months ago, we had two fundamental beliefs about ing:
1. Every company will care deeply about how AI talks about their brand.
2. Every marketer will use AI Agents to do their best work, faster.
Those beliefs are becoming reality faster than we imagined.
Now, we serve more than 10% of the Fortune 500 and are the number 1 leader on the G2 grid for AEO.
To double down on that momentum, we’re taking two big swings:
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: AI workers that take marketing teams from concept to execution.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: certifications and cohort-based learning for marketers who want stay at the forefront of AI marketing.

When you’re writing a fundraising announcement for a portfolio company, you can usually see the little devil and angel sitting on your shoulders. The angel wants you to give readers the why behind the deal, the devil wants you to pound your chest and take a victory lap.
Why did Saga Ventures back Profound? (Please read in the voice of an Angel)
Here’s the 3 mental models that called to us as we spent time with James and Dylan:
1.Founders who can turn the wheel - we met James and Dylan after a lunch at South Park Commons. It took James exactly one elevator ride (literally) to explain Profound and why the world needed it. We were strangers as the door closed on Floor 5 and I walked out onto the street three minutes later fully initiated into the cult of Profound.
2.There are two kinds of great companies - those who overcome pure market risk or pure technical risk. These two extremes, Airbnb or OpenAI, drive all progress and investor returns. Profound is pure technical/execution risk. The most sophisticated brands know consumers are moving from web search to AI search and need a strategy for this sea change. The agencies who serve these brands need new tools to understand sentiment in real time and serve their clients in the new medium. Luckily for us, it’s really, really hard to build at scale, across LLMs, and reliably distill reality from the entire corpus of human data.
3.Profound is virtuous in all directions. Charles Koch talks about how the best businesses are net positives for their customers, their employees, their vendors, their partners and the community at large. Every player in the ecosystem benefits from Profound. Agencies get ground truth in real time and can create novel campaigns as a result. Brands and their marketing teams will get higher return on spend with a new ability to measure the real time performance of ‘brand’ spend. The LLM providers now have both narrative validation that the future of knowledge lives in their models and an on-ramp for marketers trained on the world web.

Founders building your sales org at seed-series B, your focus should be 100% on rising stars vs. proven talent. This is obvious if you think about the adverse selection at play:
1. The best mature sellers are overpaid at their current roles. They’ve spent years building their book, expanding their territories, and the real ones (aka the ones you want) have too high of an opportunity cost to take a chance on your startup.
2. These sellers are currently thriving in an existing system. They have a large support org, predictable comp plans, and a steady state product to sell. How are they going to feel in your startup where ambiguity is the name of the game?
3. Very few exceptional sellers remain ICs. A few choose to for work/life balance or personality quirks, but sales leadership calls most great sellers relatively early in their career. If someone is available as an individual contributor later in their career, it’s not always ‘because they just love the customer so much’.
This stuff sucks to hear because it means the pool of talent is actually much smaller than it looks for founders building their sales orgs. The upside is that living in reality will save you a lot of pain.

⚡We are excited to announce our $65M equity and debt round from @jpmorgan, which brings our total funding to $77M in equity and $175M in debt. The fintech industry is going through a tumultuous time. Companies are going under, and regulators are increasingly applying more y. We think our long-term thinking and emphasis on both “fin” and “tech” has been imperative to execute precisely above the chaos, close major partnerships, and onboard new customers. To be concrete, here are some examples:
