🎄 CHRISTMAS AT HIRSTY’S - THURSDAY 3 DECEMBER
If you’ve not had the chance to visit the newly renovated Hirsty’s Social at Hillsborough yet, our Christmas party is a pretty good excuse to put that right.
This is an opportunity to see the venue following its refurbishment, including the new entrance museum, and enjoy a proper evening in the company of fellow Wednesdayites.
We’re looking forward to a relaxed, festive evening. Good food (included 2 course meal), a few drinks (free winter warmer cocktail), plenty of Wednesday conversation and the chance to spend some time together away from the usual matchday routine.
We’ve also got some familiar Wednesday faces joining us, including Mel Sterland and Jon Newsome, with more guests to be announced shortly.
Here’s what you can expect on the night:
🍽️ Festive food and dessert
🍹 A Winter Warmer cocktail included with your ticket
🎤 Special guests and plenty of Wednesday stories
🎟️ A raffle with some great prizes.
💙 A chance to enjoy Christmas at Hillsborough with fellow supporters
The evening runs from 7pm until 11:30pm on Thursday 3 December, and tickets are £25 for Trust members or £35 for non-members.
It’s also worth remembering that this isn’t a commercial event. We’re a not-for-profit supporters’ organisation, with member tickets priced at cost and proceeds from the evening helping us continue our community work in 2027.
That means more opportunities to provide match tickets, mascot experiences and Wednesday shirts to children, families and supporters who might otherwise miss out.
So as well as enjoying a good night, you’ll be helping us do a little bit of good along the way.
Whether you’re coming with your mates, your partner, colleagues or on your own, everyone is welcome. It’s an evening for Wednesdayites to get together, enjoy themselves and kick off the festive season in style.
We’d love to see Hirsty’s full of Wednesday fans for the night.

Please share this far and wide, particularly if you live in or around Sheffield. If anyone saw anything around Wordsworth Avenue between 1pm and 4pm yesterday, please get in touch with the family or the police.

Finally got Oliver to the match today after missing the last few due to his health, and we come out to find someone has stolen his wheelchair accessible vehicle. I realise most people will have been in the ground between 1 & 4, but if anyone saw anything, please let me know #swfc

My uncle John Lee plays The Last Post at Hillsborough every year and I’m obviously not remotely biased, but he does the occasion justice every single time.
Not a note out of place. A spine-tingling moment and always incredibly proud watching him do it. 💙 #SWFC

An incredible effort from @ArmedForcesOwls today.
A truly fitting tribute, delivered with the dignity and respect the occasion deserves.
An enormous amount of work goes into organising something on this scale, and the result speaks for itself.
Comfortably the finest display of Hillsborough. Outstanding.
Lest We Forget.

Don't forget Wednesdayites, if you are on the North stand today, you will have one of these flyers on your seat.
Please raise as players exit the tunnel and for the minutes silence pre-game.
Thank you to @swfc for facilitating, and to the MANY volunteers helping.

Fantastic work from the @ArmedForcesOwls
An opportunity for thousands of Wednesdayites to come together in remembrance of those who gave their lives in service, and to honour the courage and sacrifice of generations past and present.
If you’re in the North Stand on Sunday, please follow the instructions and help make this a fitting tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Lest We Forget.

One week to go until our Remembrance game against Blackpool, and we're turning the North Stand into a giant poppy display.
Sat in the North Stand on Sunday 1st? Be in your seat early, find your flyer and hold it up when asked. Let's make it one to remember.
