I know this is literally a top 3 playmaker in the world but I do need Austin to get better at doing the same
One of the reasons why it’s dangerous to trap and blitz Luka, especially in transition, is because of his court vision.
On the first play in transition, he anticipates the blitz and hits Kessler perfectly in stride, catching Bam in between the paint and Mamu at the three point d play, which is good for countering blitzes, is a simple slip by Mamu for an open 3, hence why JJ has stated players need to take the open threes they get.

🤔
Jarred Vanderbilt could be an interesting trade target for Portland at the deadline.
He’s an elite defensive player, and Dame has even expressed interest in playing with him in the past.
He wouldn’t need to play heavy minutes, but his defensive versatility, energy, and ability enses could make this team extremely dangerous come playoff time.
His price could be as low as two second-round picks. Portland also has the full MLE exception and could potentially absorb his contract without giving up a single player.
Would you want Vando in Portland? 👀

Goga is getting DNPs
Bulls would likely trade Jalen smith if it meant getting of okoro and getting goga and grimes in return (hardy filler)
I just don’t know if Orlando would trade black and goga for okoro and 3 seconds

Heat shot 11 more FTs mind you
Heat Central’s main takeaways, game 7:
- Defense was BAD all night
- Offensive turnovers were awful
- Luka and Reaves just foul bait all night. Lakers are a bad watch
- Bam should’ve been on Luka more tonight
- Klay Thompson looked good for Miami
- Didn’t get much from Wiggins and Bam for the most part
- Heat bench was terrible
- Giannis looked great attacking, but those jumpers he takes are bad and a major W for the defense
- 3rd quarter was just embarrassing. We still got some ways to go
Next game is Wednesday vs the Clippers.

This is the next face of the league. I wish it was Luka, but when LeBron goes this is it
Cooper Flagg on if he and Zaccharie Risacher have talked about the pressure that comes with being the first pick in the draft:
“Yeah, we’ve talked about it a little bit. It’s tough… You definitely feel another level of pressure, and that’s something I think I’ve talked to him about together, just forgetting about the pressure. I told him I know how good you are, we don’t care, nobody here cares that he was a No. 1 pick, we just want him to go out there and play and be who he can be…”

Joe Mazzulla says he was studying J. Cole’s breathing during his concert
“I was paying just as much attention to if he was diaphragmatic breathing, how many breaths was he taking in between songs, was his breathing pattern different from a song to a lecture back to a song.”
