Jaylen Brown reveals he entered his 10th NBA season without an agent, PR team, or marketing team, choosing to handle his own business and learn the industry firsthand.
Brown admits the workload was overwhelming, from chasing emails to managing opportunities himself, and believes on deals because he could not follow up on everything. But he says the experience taught him valuable lessons about business, independence, and representing himself, even if doing everything alone came at a cost.

Sitting at the Spurs game last night w/a Finest parent & got a call from Finest college freshman at the D1 level…no VM, you take these calls!
These calls, during this time where the “dating period“is over, are normal…the rigors of college basketball testing their medal.
Bracing for a “my coach hates me” call & got a pleasant convo…..
”The player in starting in front of me is older & more mature but I am out-working her.…I will be better for the team soon”
“I took ‘living in the gym’ advice to heart so much I had to sit out last practice because…”
”I spend the most time in the coaches offices watching film”
”I have two B’s academically & my mom is not happy about it”
She then sends a pic of her cooking her dinner, steak & potatoes.…. four A’s ,two B’s, WORKING her way up the depth chart by PROVING her VALUE to a coach who depends on barely adults to keep his/her job.
This player was coached HARD in our program… prepared for the extreme stress of playing level basketball.
No coddling!
Finest Preparation!

Have known Coach Griffin for over a decade….she has been recruiting Finest kids since 2014-ish.
Never had a player play for her but this MAY speak to the era.
Watch the recent UConn doc.
Can a new Geno survive today?
Watched Marisa Moseley, a Geno disciple get fired and sued for “abuse”….only to get exonerated in court.
Coaching players hard is a thing of the past, unfortunately?

Statement from the current players:
“We are aware of the article that was published today and the suspension that was issued to Coach Griffith. This is not indicative of our experience as part of this program, which has been overwhelmingly positive. We fully stand with and support Coach Griffith. This program is a family, and we pride ourselves on being a supportive and inclusive environment for all.”
“We are ready to attack the season.”

Congrats to San Antonio's own @K1ngFlemings who had his jersey retired at Brennan H.S. Tonight. Kelvin Sampson @UHCougarMBK on hand as well as hit @ATLHawks teammates. What a night for the top 10 pick. Will suit up vs. The Spurs tomorrow.

‘The realest ish ever wrote“ Pac voice.
I know y’all want early offers for your kids/ players. Sometimes early praise lowers the ceiling of a player/ person though. Can make the circle delusional too.
I know YOU want it, but can THEY handle it?
Means nothing unless you’re good enough when it’s time to be good enough
