Where was Rick?
I took the annual trip up to the mountains with mom and dad.
As always, it was a good time

Things I remember from back then:

●$.17 a gallon for gas
●$133.17 monthly mortgage payment on our first house
●Party lines — sharing a phone line with your neighbor
●3 TV channels — rabbit ears for an antenna
●No GPS — we used maps and asked for directions at gas stations
●TV stations signed off after playing the national anthem at midnight
●No air-conditioning

The Conway girls Golf team has won the Class 4A State Championship!

It’s Conway’s first State title in any sport since 1977.

(1) Conway
(2) West Florence
(3) May River

Never bunt, never bunt, never bunt.

That's what we heard repeatedly for years

Brewers/Rays

If bunting is so outdated, why are two of baseball's most analytically sophisticated organizations using it more than almost anybody else?

I will never be convinced that strikeouts don't matter. I'm a big On Base Percentage guy and I also look at OPS.

At Coastal we've been fortunate to have Matt Pepin and now Isaac Groffman lead our analytics team. They both work hard, are very knowledgeable, and are baseball guys.

Here’s a swing breakdown of Sam Antonacci, but here’s 2 other things to learn from him also.

1. This is Sam on an off day in the middle of the summer. One of the best rookies in baseball is grinding on an off day during a 162 game season…and you can’t find 10-15 minutes a day t don’t stop. They’re obsessed and always want more.

2. Aside from his swing, watch how he takes an at bat. He led the majors in hit by pitches and is truly obsessed with winning. His mindset isn’t to get a hit so he can raise his batting average. His goal is to do anything he can to help his team win.

He competes no matter the inning, score, and situation. That’s why he’ll be a big leaguer for a very long time.

"Jackson Come Here"

The Jackson 6

Jackson Farlow, Jackson Smallets,
Jackson Lalima, Jaxon Drennen
Nahdir Jackson, Jackson Peeler

Jackson Smallets got a lot of experience as a freshman, and I look forward to watching him this season.

I'd rather watch him than hit against him

I believe Troy Carpenter had two HBPs.
It's a Coastal tradition

(I hope I remember this correctly,
14 innings is a long time to remember)

With his funky delivery slot, Jacob Evans could cause trouble to hitters

After hitting a double in game one Jackson Farlow took the mound in game two

Trip Brown is another pitcher with a very live arm

Case Bosch closes out the day with a dribbler and a pop fly to centerfield

Jackson Peeler headed to first on a ground ball to the right side
