I’m deeply sad to hear about the passing of Dolores Huerta, a friend and legend in the farmworkers’ movement. Her work and her vision transformed our country, especially here in her home state of California. She embodied the spirit of the movement with her phrase that will live Se Puede.
May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.

There have been reports of people being detained for multiple days in a facility not designed or equipped for that nue conducting oversight visits and our work to ensure transparency and accountability.

Today, @RepGabeAmo and I referred Energy Secretary Wright to the DOJ for violating federal law by lying to Congress.
Billions of dollars in clean energy grants were canceled for blue states, and Secretary Wright lied to the Science Committee when he said that “no decisions during a Committee hearing in June. His own department formally stipulated in a lawsuit in May that the cancellations were “based solely on the political identity of the grant recipient’s state.”

The budget that Republicans are trying to rush through Congress this week isn’t America First - it’s America Last. They think we don’t have money to solve problems here at home, yet we have enough to spend on Trump’s endless foreign wars and pet projects like his ballroom.
