Congratulations to Jacob Klinect, the 200th Eagle Scout of Boy Scout Troop 201 in Olmsted Falls. Jack's an impressive young man. In addition to earning 41 merit badges, he's a faithful Christian, servant leader, and entrepreneur. I'm glad to have spoken at today's court of honor.

Tourism is one of Ohio's top industries and a key to economic development in Greater Cleveland. I enjoyed the opportunity recently to participate on a bipartisan panel during an @OhioChamber tourism summit at @playhousesquare, which included a rousing kickoff by @cavs 216Stix.

From the time we first met in 2006, Mike Gibbons encouraged me and supported my public service career. That's why it's an honor and personally special to me to have been selected by the Values-in-Action Foundation as a 2026 recipient of the Mike Gibbons Kindland Leadership Award.

Ohio Medicaid has a process for managing auditors, but no comprehensive plan for managing a $40 billion program. Apparently, bureaucracy is the one thing they've mastered.

Honored to offer remarks this morning at the Strongsville Hometown Heroes dedication ceremony. Through banners displayed in the Strongsville Town Center, we recognize the dedication, sacrifice, and courage of local veterans who have answered the call to serve our Nation.

My support for House Bill 495, the Freedom to Carry Act, has not changed. While I raised concerns with the legislative process, continued delays are unacceptable. It is time to move this legislation forward and deliver for Ohio gun owners.

I enjoyed the opportunity recently to participate in a bicameral, bipartisan tour of several @CuyaLandBank projects. The Land Bank's investments revitalize neighborhoods, promote economic growth, and create jobs throughout the county, including here in the 17th House District.

The Berea Grindstone Award Banquet is one of the best events of the year. We once again celebrated our hometown of Berea and recognized some truly deserving citizens, including my friend Cons Templeman, recipient of the 2026 Grindstone Award. Congrats to all of the honorees!

On Constitution Day, we honor the enduring framework of our Republic and the freedoms it safeguards. May we also remember the responsibility each generation carries to uphold its principles and preserve them for those who follow.

I hear from constituents struggling to make ends meet. They deserve to know their tax dollars are spent carefully. Columbus State sought $285,940 for art from an Indiana firm. We raised concerns, and it withdrew the request. I won’t rubber stamp sending Ohio dollars out of state.

On Patriot Day, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the heroes who answered the call, and reflect on the unity and resolve that followed. May we always remember their sacrifice.
