Philly’s bus network is getting overhauled for the first time in 60 years. Expect route changes, new frequencies and different stops as phases roll out through February and June 2027. If you rely on @SEPTAPHILLY, check your route before you head out. thetriangle.org/article/septa-…

Thank you to @saintmarksphila for being our Fall Food Drive partner for the second year in a row. If you’re able, drop dry, non‑perishable items at my office (1500 Walnut St, Suite 1050), we will be collecting them until November 20th. Food insecurity is real, and it's up to all bors who may need assistance.

The federal government is now trying to cut off care for transgender kids by blocking Medicaid and CHIP dollars and investigating hospitals that refuse to hand over patient records. Families who came to Pennsylvania for safety are watching their options disappear. Medical decisions belong to patients, parents and doctors, not politicians in Washington who want to score points at kids’ expense. inquirer.com/health/transge…

The Port of Philadelphia is about to see a major expansion backed by state, federal and private investment. This is the kind of long-term infrastructure work that creates real jobs and keeps our region competitive. When you boost capacity at a port like this, you are strengthening the entire supply chain that Philly families and businesses rely on. cityandstatepa.com/politics/2026/…

People are getting squeezed on energy bills while utilities look for new ways to shift their costs onto everyone else. I fully support the energy affordability package pushed by @RepFiedler and my colleagues that puts ratepayers first and reins in the corporate games that created this mess in the first place. keystonenewsroom.com/news/politics/…

SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.

The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.

Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.

Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

Public money should go toward projects that make life better for the people who live in a community. @RepReginaYoung secured more than 1 million dollars for upgrades to public safety, local government buildings, and food distribution efforts in the 185th District. This is what it looks like when state funding is used to meet real, everyday needs. philasun.com/local/young-an…

Philly's economy doesn’t work without immigrants. They're driving population growth, paying taxes, filling critical STEM jobs, and keeping industry afloat while federal policy cuts legal immigration to a trickle. If we ignore this reality, we undercut our own future. Our region depends on the people who choose to build their lives here. cityandstatepa.com/policy/2026/10…

Preserving a building’s history means keeping it strong enough to serve the people who use it today. The $200k LSA grant for @EF_Fellows will help restore and modernize its 122‑year‑old headquarters. The organization plays a key role in connecting leaders across borders, and its support that work for decades to come.

Most people have no idea that in some states, adult children can be forced to pay their parents’ medical or nursing home debt. Pennsylvania has enforced this law before, and it can ruin families. That’s why @RepTarik's pushing to repeal it. No one should get a bill for care they never received because the state refuses to fix an outdated statute. mysuncoast.com/2026/10/05/why…

Voters shouldn’t have to worry about law enforcement showing up at the polls. @RepKenyatta’s bill makes that clear by blocking federal agents, including ICE, from being stationed near polls. People deserve to cast a ballot without intimidation or mixed signals from Washington. votebeat.org/pennsylvania/2…

Meta has a patent to let AI keep posting on your social media pages after you die. That should worry everyone. My bill to stop “digital ghosts” is simple: your data is yours, and nobody should have their digital identity revived without consent.

In the quiet before dawn, we escorted Officer Shane Seiber in a silent procession to the Cathedral Basilica. Later today, we say goodbye to our brother, a devoted husband and father. Please keep his family and all who loved him in your prayers. We will never forget.
