📌Weekend update: Cutty Sark will remain closed on Saturday due to the continuing heat, as will the Cove playground at the National Maritime Museum.

All other sites are open as normal. The National Maritime Museum is air conditioned and has an ice cream bar, just saying...

☀️It's hot out there folks! We're closing Cutty Sark and the Royal Observatory to the public for the next couple of days.

The National Maritime Museum and the Queen's House remain open. The Museum has air conditioning if you'd like somewhere to cool off for free.

Mirror Moon is at the Observatory! The spectacular artwork from Luke Jerram uses accurate data from NASA to map the textures of the moon onto a mirrored steel surface.

Mirror Moon is next to the Prime Meridian Line, combining a natural reference point with one decided by people.

🌊It's often claimed that we know more about the surface of the Moon than we do about the bottom of the ocean.
