Keith Haring believed that art carried a responsibility to contribute to the human experience. As a young person, art gave him something to aspire to, both in what he could do and who he could become.

When the opportunity to collaborate with CityKids presented itself in 1986, he use his artistic abilities to create something greater than himself.

Together with nearly 1,000 CityKids, he created CityKids Speak on Liberty, a monumental artwork that gave a generation the opportunity to express what freedom meant to them.

Keith hoped the artwork would travel beyond its original setting, reaching new audiences and continuing to make a meaningful impact long after its creation.

Forty years later, on the Statue of Liberty’s 140th anniversary, that vision continues.

For the first time, CityKids Speak on Liberty is available to collect through ICONIC, featuring limited edition fine art prints, the complete composition as an open edition, and select works on canvas.

Every sale helps support CityKids and its mission for the next 40 years, extending the impact of this historic collaboration to future generations.

Last week I saw a post from a Twitter friend about this piece.. Summer Waves by @A_Mashiro_nft and was instantly captivated.

It's a new style for my collection, and I've never had an instant connection to a piece like this before.

So I sat with it for a week to figure out why. better it got: the colors, the patterns, the organization. It keeps my eye moving. Each place it lands is its own spot to spend time in, and then it shuffles you somewhere else. I keep coming back and looking longer. The colors and flow make me feel peaceful and happy.

After looking at more of the work and watching the explanation of the physical version of Summer Waves, it all fell into place. It’s was all purposeful and thought out and felt right and when things feel right, I must act.

I'm so happy to have both the digital and a physical piece, each with its own creation process. Impressive work, and thank you for the chance to broaden my horizons.
