My answer: no. Speed and long runs win in the early grades. Get your fastest kid the ball in space.

The QB pitches it, the line reach-blocks toward the sideline, and the back has one job: get outside the tight end and turn up.
In 11v11 it's a blocking play. In 5v5 flag football nobody blocks, so the receivers run their ack wins a race to the edge.
