Airlines already make you put your bag in a sizer. Do the same thing at the gate for the person. If you cannot sit with both armrests down and stay inside the seat you paid for, you are in someone else’s seat. That person bought the same ticket. Buy a second seat or get rebooked. You do not get to annex the seat next to you because you ate your way out of the first one.
Other passengers should not have to spend a flight squeezed against the window or the aisle because someone else cannot control their eating. They paid for a seat. They should get the seat.
“The seats got smaller” is the excuse. It is mostly wrong. The 737 first flew in 1967. The fuselage is still 148 inches wide. Economy seats in that tube are still about 17 inches. What shrank is pitch, the legroom, not the width of the cabin. What actually changed is the passenger. CDC data: adult obesity was 13.4% in 1960–62 and about 14.5% in the early 1970s, right after the 737 entered service. It is about 40% now. Roughly triple. Severe obesity went from under 1% to nearly 10%. Same airplane. Much larger people.
The airline did not shrink the tube. You got wider than the product. Size the passenger the way you size the carry-on.

It really annoys me when the hoi polloi comes up and uses the first class bathroom on flights. You have multiple options in the back, don’t come up and piss all over the floor like we’re in New Delhi.

Just remember, everyone - White Western countries are being forced to take in an absurd number of migrants from global majorities.
