I have been using premium credit cards for the last 11 or so years.
Cards I have/had.
- AMEX Platinum (Closed)
- AMEX Gold (Closed)
- AMEX Business Blue Preferred (Groceries, streaming apps and Transportation expenses)
- Capital One Savor One.
- Capital One Venture X (Primary Catch all Card for travel benefits)
- Wells Fargo Everyday Spending (First line of credit)
I have not paid a dime in interest in over 10 years now and I have enough airline miles to travel to Dubai on Emirates first class round trip. Any one that says credit cards are bad for you, just doesn't know how to use them correctly. And the benefits these premium travel cards have make it suit my needs and fit my lifestyle. It's a very simple concept.
Don't use a credit card if the money you are spending is not in your checking account, and pay the bill after the statement clears. Simple. Checking account is only used for my work paycheck and to pay off the credit cards.

I’ve been getting sucked down this rabbit hole and wanted to share my 2 cents.
I got my first Credit card at 20, to build my credit. After a few months of using it I realized how benefitial it can be to only use it.
I have not swiped my debit in over 7 years, I now have 3 Credit cards total with unique rewards. I have never paid a single dollar in interest, I pay off the statement in full the moment it hits, and have accrued $1,000’s in rewards and have an 800+ credit score.
Long story short, you should use a credit card for every purchase as long as you’re capable of not spending money you don’t have, and pay full statement and never minimal payments.
