Private equity firms have been buying up mobile home parks in Maine, jacking up the rents and squeezing folks out. Check out our new ad, “We Bought It”, to hear from Celeste about how her community fought back—and won, and why she supports my campaign for governor.

Three years ago today, 18 people were taken from us in Lewiston, and 13 more were wounded. Families lost the people they loved most. A community was changed forever, and all of Maine grieved with them. Today, we remember those we lost. We hold their families, the survivors, and the Lewiston-Auburn community in our hearts, knowing that for many, the pain has never gone away.

We also remember how Maine responded. First responders ran toward danger. Neighbors opened their doors and took care of one another. People across our state came together to show that, even in our darkest hour, we acted as Mainers and we acted as a community.

That compassion is who we are. It is what I will carry with me, and it is what we must all carry forward: by standing by the survivors and families still healing, and by continuing the work to make our communities safer and prevent future tragedies in our state.

Great day yesterday talking with high school students from Thornton Academy, North Yarmouth Academy, Baxter and Cape Elizabeth. We connected at the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Eggs & Issues Forum and during a class visit.

I was impressed with their thoughtful queso many key issues facing our state. With engaged students like this, I’m confident that Maine’s future will be in good hands. As governor, I’ll be focused on making sure young people can build their lives and careers right here at home.

My heart is with the families and community in Bend, Oregon tonight. An elementary school.

Children and teachers who should have been safe. We cannot keep accepting gun violence as a fact of life.

We have a responsibility to protect our kids, prevent these tragedies, and take real action to stop this violence.

As a Maine public school grad, a mom to two public school kids, and a former school board chair I know exactly how important education is to our state. We've got to make sure every kid that graduates is ready, educated, and set up to succeed. Our kids are counting on us.

ICE is terrorizing Maine communities and making us less safe. Yet, my opponent wants them at our polls. Vote like our neighbors’ safety depends on it.

Affordable housing means protecting the stock that we have, including mobile home parks. Making sure residents can own the land and keep out private equity is just one part of my Housing Plan. You can read it all here: hannahforgovernor.com/housing-plan/

Unsurprisingly, my opponent is spending his time in tonight’s debate attacking me. Mainers are tired of the negative campaigning and misinformation. I’ll spend my time talking about how we can get things done and a real vision for Maine’s future.

I’ve often said that chairing my local school board was the toughest job in politics I’ve ever had, but it’s because Mainers care so much about our kids and their education. It’s time to invest in what works and make sure every kid can succeed.

Trump's war in Iran is driving up the costs of gas, heating oil, and kerosene. I'm hearing from Mainers who are worried about making it through this winter. As governor, I'll fight for emergency heating assistance.

Maine’s next budget is going to face serious challenges, we need a governor who is actually going to get things done.

Since the first day of my campaign to these final weeks, I have been steadfast in prioritizing investments in housing. That’s not going to change – it’s fundamental to our future.

I’m deeply honored by the endorsements of Tribal Chiefs in this race for governor. I've made a commitment to passing a full tribal sovereignty bill and I’ll work to get it done in partnership with tribal leaders during my first 100 days in office. This is long overdue. Let’s get it done.

I am grateful to have received the endorsement of Chief Kirk Francis (Penobscot Nation), Chief Sheila McCormack (Mi’kmaq Nation), Chief William Nicholas (Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township), and Chief Clarissa Sabattis (Houlton Band of Maliseets). I was also joined by two Loring, Penobscot Tribal Council Member Maulian Bryant, Vice Chief Teresita Hamel (Mi’kmaq Nation) and some powerhouse young women who will be tremendous future leaders.

As governor, I will introduce a bill to amend the Implementing Act and restore full Tribal sovereignty. I will not write it alone or hand it down from Augusta. It will be developed in partnership with the Tribal Nations, because that is how it should be done. Creating a government to government relationship between Maine and the Wabanaki Tribes will remain a top priority for my administration.

Mainers deserve a governor who knows how to bring people together during tough times and get things done. That's what I focused on during tonight's debate and what I'll bring every day to my Administration.

I will never give up. I will never back down.

Maine families don’t need empty promises. They need results. I have delivered my entire life, and I am ready to do it as your Governor.

We are one of the richest countries in the world with some of the poorest health outcomes. I’ve proposed a public health insurance option for those families who are losing access to health care coverage because of Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.

Mainers are paying the price of Trump’s trade war in everything we buy from groceries to cars.

Let’s fight back by sending Trump a BIG message on November 3rd.
