Can President Trump continue the Iran strikes? Yes!

Republicans hold both chambers until 3rd JAN… After that Democrats can try to stop strikes with a war powers resolution or by cutting the money… Trump can veto both…, and overriding Trump takes two thirds of the House and the Senate. Democrats won majorities, not two thirds.

Dear Father, thank you for your wonderful plan of redemption. Thank you for sending Jesus, the living Word made flesh, to become the perfect and sinless sacrifice for our salvation. I rejoice that through His finished work, I’ve received righteousness, and eternal life, and I everlasting fellowship with you, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

They are telling us the removal of term limits will not affect our rights to elect a leader of our choice. So, if at any point we are stuck with a bad leader, we can easily vote him/ her out.

What advocates for this narrative are forgetting is that elections are not easy to win. In most cases, they have very little to do with how brilliant one is.

HH, considering how smart he spoke during his time in opposition and how he seemed to be a better alternative, he lost elections 5 times, surely that should tell you something.

Don’t come here telling me that one day, we will be able to get rid of an “Idi Amin” kind of leader in 5 years, through the ballot.

You people joke a lot. It’s all rosy now, one day it won’t be, the term limit is a safeguard we should all be trying to protect. We aren’t short of manpower in this country.

What we should be discussing at this point, noting that this “could be” HH’s last term is the establishment of good systems that will allow for continuity of good government projects and strict implementation of our national development goals.

The UPND should have been grooming a suitable successor as we speak.

Government is not a sole proprietorship where one man is expected to carry the country’s vision.

Even the people of Mporokoso will agree with me on this one, I am certain. 😂

EU ELECTION OBSERVER MISSION FINAL REPORT ON ZAMBIA'S AUGUST 2026 ELECTION

Here is the final EU Observer Mission Report released today, 3rd November 2026 on the link below:

eeas.europa.eu/eom-zambia-202…

Recommendations

The EU EOM offers 13 recommendations for improving the way ,
managed, and conducted in Zambia. Of these, eight are priority recommendations:

1. Revise the electoral legal framework well before elections, through an inclusive,
consultative, and expert-driven process, to remove gaps and inconsistencies, enhance
transparency and legal predictability, and to better align with international commitments.

2. Ensure transparency throughout the electoral process in line with international standards
in decision-making and access to key information of public interest for all stakeholders. This would include publication of all relevant regulatory instruments.

3. Protect freedom of assembly and equal campaign opportunities for all contestants by discontinuing the role of the ECZ in issuing campaign timetables, ensuring that the pre-eminent role of regulating campaign schedules lies with contestants.

4. Disengage state-owned media from direct government control and convert ZNBC into a genuine public service broadcaster with editorial independence and balanced programming.

5. Align the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Acts with international commitments on freedom of expression and privacy of communication.

6. Promote the public accountability of electoral authorities by guaranteeing the right of unhindered access of observers to all aspects of the electoral process, underpinned by a timely, transparent and less burdensome accreditation process.

7. Guarantee effective access to due process in electoral matters. Measures would include realistic timelines for petitions in all court jurisdictions, including access and filing by alternate means, consistency in rights of appeal before and after elections, and adopting appropriate evidentiary standards.

8. Protect the will of the voter and the integrity of elections by ensuring consistent arrangements for maintaining transparency during the results tabulation, such as projection of data entry and prompt online posting of complete, PS-disaggregated preliminary and final results, in an easily usable format.

In the US no president served more than two terms. Only Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected four times (1932, 1936, 1940, 1944) amid the Great Depression and World War II- these were extraordinary times in the world.

After his death in 1945 and Republican gains in the 1946 midterms, Congress proposed the amendment in 1947, this amendment passed with near-unanimous Republican support plus some conservative/Southern Democrats concerned about concentrated executive power. It was ratified by the states in 1951.

The main idea was to codify the two-term tradition and guard against the risk of a long-serving executive accumulating excessive power, prevent concentration of power and potential autocratic tendencies.

Terms limits for a country the has a democracy that is not matured like Zambia are essential and critical gaurdrails. Zambia is not short of individuals with the capacity to lead it into prosperity. In my opinion HH7 is not the best president we have had in Zambia, top 3 yes but not the best.

Of course I can't expect him to oppose the removal of term limits, his loyalty will be to person who put him in.

Term limits are not our problem. Study our MPs, what have they archeived in the 15, 20, 25 years they have been in parliament? Just focus on delivering in the time the constitution has provided for you.

Replying to @Space2013M
@Space2013M It’s better a new set of people benefit every 5 years than the same set and families.

Also there’s no concrete evidence that shows democracy = stagnant development.

Stop lying to people.

More work needs to be done, progress yes, but not arrival. We ask for your support fellow Zambians, the earlier we get to Baa1-3 thresholds, the better. But we have to make tough choices.

Btw she's a failed suicide bomber who had a bomb in her car and shouted 'Allah Akbar' before pressing the detonation button. Woops. You must have missed that part out.
Israel burned her body, imprisoned her, deprived her of her freedom, and subjected her to beatings and abuse behind the bars of its prisons. The scars of burns and torture have become a testimony to the pain and suffering she endured
She is Israa Jaabis the woman whose body they se dignity they could never take away
She is the Queen of the Earth, crowned not by physical beauty, but by her resilience, the strength of her will, and her humanity
Community note
Israa Jaabis was severely burned in a 2015 car explosion near an Israeli checkpoint. She was convicted of attempted murder for allegedly detonating a gas canister. Jaabis claims it was accidental. Her scars are from that event not prison torture or beatings.

The work is not only on the economic front, but also on the democratic front. We must develop our democratic institutions to upload the consistutional rights of every Zambian and hold accountable the actions of the state. Hard things must be talked about and addressed accordingly.

"Freedom of expression...is applicable not only to information or ideas that are favourably received or regarded as inoffensive or as a matter of indifference, but also to those which offend, shock or disturb the state or any other sector of population. Such are the demands of pluralism, tolerance and broadmindness without which there is no 'democratic society.'."

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT ‘JUNIOR’ GOD

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Many readily acknowledge God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ but fail to recognise the Holy Spirit for who He truly is. Some think luence, a power, or an unseen force at work in their lives. But the Holy Spirit isn't an influence or a power separate from God. He is God.

The Lord Jesus revealed this truth when He said, *“Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?...the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works”* (John 14:10). The Father who dwelt in Jesus is the Holy Spirit. Every miracle, every healing, every act of divine power that Jesus wrought was by the Holy Spirit.

Never think of the Holy Spirit as though He were less than the Father or less than Jesus. He isn't *“junior”* God. He's the Spirit of the Father. He's one with the Father and one with the Son. To know Him is to know God, because He’s Himself God. This is why your relationship with the Holy Spirit is so vital. You're not relating to an influence; you're walking with God Himself.

He teaches you, guides you, strengthens you, and reveals the will of the Father to you. As you recognise His divine Person, your fellowship with Him becomes richer, your confidence in His leading grows stronger, and His glory is manifested in and through your life in a greater measure.

Recognise and honour the Holy Spirit as God. Listen to Him, and yield to His guidance. He’s the One who reveals the Father, glorifies the Lord Jesus, and works in you both to will and to do of God's good pleasure.

*PRAYER*
Dear Holy Spirit, I recognise and honour you as God. Thank you for your presence in my life, for teaching me, guiding me, and revealing the Father's will to me. I yield myself completely to your leading, and through you I continually manifest the wisdom, power and glory of God, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

*FURTHER STUDY:*

*Acts 5:3-4*
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land? *4* Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

*John 16:13-14*
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. *14* He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.

*John 14:16-20*
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; *17* [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. *18* I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. *19* Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. *20* At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
