It's so narrow minded pov, these paths are completely different. You risk getting stuck in your job because UPSC/PCS can't be cracked in just 3–4 hours a day. Your competitors study for 12 hours. This strategy is nothing but a dopamine hit giving you a false sense of achievement.
It is good to see many young officials after joining the service through CGL preparing for UPSC , State PSC and CGL for career upgradation.

It appears the Indian Navy intends to operate Rafales from INS Vikrant or INS Vikramaditya, keeping them as an option for contingencies involving Pakistan and the Pakistan Navy.
In that context, the trade-off of repeatedly screwing and unscrewing the corner-extensions, g high-tempo flight operations, seems acceptable.
Fujian with the J-35 isn’t entering the IOR anytime soon, so that’s a manageable risk. Ford-class carriers with Super Hornets or F35 are friendly.
This appears to be immediate planning priorities (however short sited it may appear)

Trials of the Rafale Marine fighter aircraft are being carried out in Goa by the Indian Navy. The trials are for the modifications to the aircraft required for carrying out operations from the Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.
