Celebrating Spencer Tracy's birthday with his magical speech from Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
Spencer was in poor health. He died 17 days after filming. Katherine Hepburn knew his time was limited, and is crying real tears in this scene.

Women make up 80% of caregivers, often balancing work & care while feeling “on duty” 24/7. They face higher emotional & financial stress yet continue to show resilience. 97% of those texting RCI’s Crisis Line for support were women. #Caregivers #InternationalWomensDay

On Saraswati Puja, what better story to share than this?
If you ever walk down Embassy Row in Washington, DC, USA you might come across something unexpected - a striking white sculpture that immediately catches your eye. It’s Goddess Saraswati - goddess of wisdom and knowledge, a lotus, a creation of seven Balinese sculptors. This masterpiece was a gift from the Indonesian President to the Indonesian Embassy—a powerful tribute to religious tolerance and cultural harmony.
During his visit to Washington, DC, Indonesia’s president spoke about the importance of pluralism and presented this sculpture, honoring his country’s 3% Hindu minority. A rare but strong reminder of acceptance and protection of minority in a diverse world.
And here is the most fascinating detail! Look closer, and you’ll see something fascinating—at Devi Saraswati’s feet, three young students sit, reading from an open book. Among them is a boy who would go on to change history. A young Barack Obama.

This is a pretty big deal for Caregiving Youth recognition here in the U.S… definitely a win.
Rhode Island Becomes the First State to Officially Recognize Caregiving Youth Through a Proclamation
In a groundbreaking move, Governor Daniel J. McKee proclaimed November 2024 as National Family Caregivers Month in Rhode Island, with a special focus on Caregiving Youth—students eir education while providing critical care for family members.
This proclamation makes Rhode Island the first state in the U.S. to officially recognize Caregiving Youth. By acknowledging their contributions and challenges, Rhode Island sets an important precedent for other states to follow in supporting these young individuals.
AACY celebrates this milestone as a pivotal step in bringing national attention to the 5.4 million children across the country who provide care at home, often without recognition or support.

As expected, Trump signed an EO withdrawing from the WHO and also ending negotiations in the Pandemic Treaty and IHR amendments. It also calls for a review, rescind, and replace the 2024 U.S. Global Health Security Strategy.

For those asking what US withdrawal from WHO (which Trump will likely announce) would look like:
1) Requires 1 yr notice
2) Assessments must be paid through FY
3) Unclear if Congressional authorization needed but Congress poised to support (and zero out $$)
