Not a single trick or treater came to the house yesterday

So now I have to eat 60 rice crispy treats today

Packing up and I have 31.6 lbs of pants. That’s too many pants right? I only wear about 3 of those pairs. (Overalls don’t count)

@DaleStarkA10ally is the best of fun. Not always so in the moments but afterwards, those are the stories best remembered

Was just telling a buddy about a night camping without a tent high up in the mountains when I storm unexpectedly came in, coldest wettest night of my life, pure misery, will never forget it though. The next day was spectacular!

You guys might now know this about me

I write with a lot of exclamation points, often times 2 or 3 in a single post. And that’s after I proof read and delete 1 or 2!

I know how that looks, I just don’t care, I’m a pretty excited guy!

Things are awesome! (Even when they aren’t)

I was thinking about this yesterday

We have 100% effort available to us. But not everyone knows that we also have 110% effort available if we know how to access it

I mean it’s work but come on man…if that ain’t make it all worthwhile

Many times I’ve hiked up into the mountains for a few nights with no tent, just a plastic paint drop cloth and piece of paracord for a “tent”

And I’ve spent many a night in a swank hotel

Any guesses as to which one I prefer?

This morning I almost kissed a man

I was operating the tractor and he exclaimed “wow you’ve really mastered this!” 🥰

So I’ve used a multimeter tons of times for decades yet everytime I pick one up I have that first moment of looking at it where my brain goes “WTF how do I operate this thing?”

I was 25 living in Jackson Hole, couldn’t afford a nice 1 bedroom apartment

So me and other 2 guys split a cheap 1 bedroom place

We alternated weekly the bedroom, one guy got the couch and whoever got home last slept under the dining room table

Everything is figuroutable

One thing that so many people don’t seem to grasp is how pointless it is to wish the world operated as you think it should. Face reality and figure it out.

And the irony of this is that they’re all comparing now to the best of the best of 50-20 year ago. Right here and right now is still absolutely amazing given a worldwide and historical perspective

A very interesting observation from yesterday and today

Burning this wood pile in the cold I am cycling from hot and sweaty to cold

And it’s deregulating. I feel “jumpy” in my body. Just unsettled and kinda hyper

It was a good day
It was a long day
And I’m exhausted in a good way

This is why

Shortly after this year+ old pic my cat got sick and dropped down to 7 lbs. kidney disease. Figured he was about to die. Gave him some homeopathic remedies and an herbal kidney support. He still pees a gallon and he’s not quite this large but he’s back to happy fat cat

Despite the miserable forecast I’ll still be riding my bike to work all week and working outside all day long.
