The death toll from Russia’s horrific terrorist attack on a school in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, has risen to 24, including two rescue workers and four police officers.
Russian forces carried out a second strike during the emergency response, killing rescuers Denys Sushchevskyi, both 44 years old.
Five others were injured, including two rescuers. Search and rescue operations continue.

Today marks the 67th day since our bakery opened.
Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve achieved so far:
- We’ve hired two internally displaced persons
- We’ve hired a veteran with a prosthetic limb—our nanny, Vados!
- About 200 children have already room
- We have an incredible trampoline thanks to @slayerofmoskali
- We have a small library and a bookshelf thanks to @slayerofmoskali
- We have partially paid our September rent thanks to @hottaspotta
- We have a blender thanks to @slayerofmoskali
- We’ve baked: sweet pastries (1,867 pieces), baked goods (1,657 pieces), and bread (676 loaves), cookies (508 pieces).
It’s already October, and we really need help purchasing a heating system, since we’re in the basement and don’t have any heating.
The system costs 228,000 UAH (the initial payment to get this heating system installed is 50,000 UAH).
You can:
1. Order your own “Fela” on the “Felas” wall. 100 euros.
2. Order a mug with your nickname and come visit us to drink coffee from it (or we’ll send it to you). The mugs are handmade by a veteran who lost his sight in the war. The cost of one 50 euros.
3. Buy a keychain shaped like our donut. Made of felted wool. Price: 35 euros (we ship anywhere in the world).

Posílení mechanismu kontroly ceny emisních povolenek ETS2 je hotové. ✅
Mám radost, že se mi v rámci trialogu podařilo prosadit závazek Evropské komise, že nejpozději do října 2027 předloží přezkum ETS2. Od začátku mandátu jsem slíbila, že budu pracovat li peněženky občanů, a to také dělám.

An utterly horrific Russian attack on the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Since this morning, the settlement has been hit several times by aerial bombs. The strikes targeted a school used for humanitarian purposes – people were receiving humanitarian aid aerial bomb strike, there was a double-tap strike with nine more bombs, specifically targeting the shelter where people were taking cover. Tragically, 18 people have already been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Five people have been injured. A rescue operation is underway at the site, and the search for people continues. It is extremely difficult. Military forces, first responders, and special services are involved.
The Russians could not have been unaware that every week, local residents who had remained in Komyshuvakha received humanitarian aid at that very location. And this is further proof that Russia wants no de-escalation and no real justice. After the humanitarian operation in Oleshky, there was a moment when the next steps could have shown that progress toward peace was possible. With these killings, Russia is sending an entirely opposite signal: Russia is counting on more killings. There must be a response to this – a response from the world. A strong and tough response. A response to Russia. And support for Ukraine. We must protect lives. Thank you to everyone who is helping!

After the hot summer we at the Bakery thought: The basement in which we are located is pretty good insulated because it was cool all summer.
Now we have october and it turns out that we cant only heat with the oven when baking tional heating. Especially for the childrens playroom (Image 4: Left room is Playground. Right room upper right Corner is oven).
