HAPPY BIRTHDAY 78TH BIRTHDAY, H.E KEN NNAMANI, GCON

On behalf of my family, the Government and good people of Enugu State, I convey our warm felicitations to the former President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ken Nnamani, GCON, Indeed, Chief Nnamani is a great son of Enugu State whom we are very proud of. One of the finest legislators that ever graced the National Assembly, Onwa Enugu has distinguished himself as a courageous and principled leader, who says it the way it is, and sticks to what is right, no matter whose ox is gored.

He has put Enugu’s name on the map as a defender of democracy, especially its fine principles of separation of power and independence of the legislature.

Your Excellency, today, we celebrate in a special way, your laudable service to Ndi Enugu State and Nigeria as a whole.
May God to continue to keep you in good health so that we can continue to draw from your wealth of experience as we build the Enugu State and Nigeria of our dreams.

Again, congratulations, Your Excellency.

Enugu State is blessed with enormous natural and human resources.

In my campaign manifesto in 2023, I made a commitment to grow our economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion within eight years and eliminate poverty in our land. We knew that achieving these ambitions required s right and change on every level.

That is why we started with infrastructure, security, education, and healthcare. Three years on, we have made significant progress across these critical sectors and several others.

My vision has always been to deliver transformation that our people can see, feel and experience in their everyday lives. That is what we have dedicated the last three years to building.

As we look ahead, the choice before us is about sustaining this progress, consolidating our gains and continuing the journey towards the Enugu of our dreams.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

Enugu was at its best as we welcomed the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for the flag-off of the Southeast Women's Mobilisation Directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council and the Mega Empowerment Rally.

It was heartwarming to see women from across the in such remarkable numbers, celebrating the Renewed Hope Agenda and expressing their support for the continued leadership mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the vision of a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.

I thank our First Lady for honouring Enugu with her presence and commend our women for making the gathering memorable.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

Enugu was alive with energy and excitement as we gathered with the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, and women from across the Southeast for the Mega Empowerment Rally.

At the heart of this gathering was the empowerment of over 5,000 women, drawing on the remarkable of our region and creating opportunities to bring out the best in their talents and potential. We trust these women to be shining lights of change in their communities and ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The passion and enthusiasm on display also reflected a shared commitment to the continuity of the Renewed Hope mandate and the progress we seek to build together.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

What a moment at Okpara Square! The Nwanne di na Peter Mbah Grand Assembly brought together people from all walks of life in solidarity and support of our vision.

I am especially grateful to Prince Arthur Eze for standing with us and to everyone who continues to believe in the port is appreciated, our resolve is strong, and we are moving forward together.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

The message from Okpara Square yesterday was clear: 𝗡𝗱𝗶 𝗘𝗻𝘂𝗴𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱.

I am deeply grateful to Prince Arthur Eze for his show of support and solidarity, and to the many leaders, ters who made the Nwanne di na Peter Mbah Grand Assembly a memorable gathering.

With this collective spirit, we march forward, committed to taking Enugu to greater heights.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

Every child, every family, every community matters. My greatest responsibility is to serve you better and build an Enugu that every one of us can be proud to call home.

The manifesto performance update is an opportunity to account to Ndi Enugu on the promises we made, the progress we have recorded and the work that remains for my administration.

The mandate to continue this journey is a responsibility I do not take lightly. We will keep s made, addressing the gaps and ensuring that no part of Enugu State is left behind.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

Governance is not just about making promises. It is about accounting for them, showing what has been delivered and being honest about the work that remains.

At today's Manifesto Performance Update, I reflected on our journey so far and the progress we have made in delivering on to Ndi Enugu.

Accountability means being able to show our people how far we have come, while remaining committed to the work ahead.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

My attention has just been drawn to a video circulating on some social media platforms, alleging that I gave an order denying a political party use of a private facility for their townhall event. This is preposterous and utter falsehood, because I did not.

This is shameful and tern adopted by the opposition to attract attention.

There’s no doubt that democracy guarantees freedom of expression. It should be noted, however, that it does not grant anyone the right to defamation. Democracy also offers avenues to seek redress. So, let it be known that there are red lines that should never be crossed.
