human + tech = the sweet spot

For the first time, the communities who have protected 17,000 hectares of Kenyan rangeland (without pomp or circumstance) are finally being recognized and rewarded.

This vital work remained invisible to the outside world. Using NatureGrid by @OpenForest_ , they are putting 20/20

Busy through the bear

Head down and building ✨

After 8+ months of building, we are officially announcing NatureGrid by Open Forest Protocol, an all in one platform built for people doing the most important nature restoration work, from the board room to the field.

This is the operating system for nature monitoring.

The community is alive and well, and NEAR is bopping.

In the northwestern Indian state of Gujarat, in the village of Jhoka, the soil was tired.

@OpenForest_ + The Earthist are working together to diversify agroforestry and bring 20/20 vision to the work the community is doing on the ground.

Who is hitting Monday hard?

A friday reminder: As more forests are verified on @OpenForest_, more OCCs flow to Service Lockers. Your rewards grow with the network.

🔒Lock your $OPN → receive OCCs (Open Carbon Credits) from verified forest projects.

Every OCC is traceable on-chain: which forest, which ata. No more opaque carbon credit markets.

How does $OPN actually work?

Project Operators go into the field with the Forester app ➡️ collect geolocated forest data ➡️ submit for on-chain validation.

Validators pool $OPN tokens to attest or deny the data.

Accurate attestation = $OPN rewards proportional to contribution.
ified forest data that becomes Open Carbon Credits (OCCs)🌲

Because we've received multiple questions about where Forest NEARian NFT holders fall within our recent release of tokenomics, we want to clarify:

The ecosystem development percentage includes all ecosystem related activities, including our NFT holder token allocation! 🌲

Our official tokenomics are also live on the OPN website 🔽

Drop your questions below! We will host a community Q+A session soon
