I built a News Research & Verification Agent that:

→ Extracts text from uploaded images using OCR
→ Researches claims through multiple external sources
→ Cross-references information, inclnts a structured assessment
Tech stack: OpenAI Agents SDK, Python, OCR, Next.js, TypeScript & Tailwind CSS.

The engineering challenge wasn't just generating answers. It was designing a workflow that turns an image into a multi-step research process.
Multiple sources don't guarantee accuracy. Source quality and independent evidence still matter.

This is my independently developed prototype, not a client or production deployment.

AI may replace tasks. Are you ready to direct the work?

My 10–80–10 vision for AI-assisted workflows:

10% Human → Define intent
80% AI → Execute
10% Human → Verify & own outcomes
Not a prediction. A mental model.
Strong fundamentals help us adapt from execution to orchestration.

Two AI models agree. Is the answer verified?

Not necessarily.

Same-provider models count as cross-model checking. Different providers may add diversity, but errors can still overlap.

For important claims, check primary sources, run tests, or inspect real results.

Agreement ≠ Proof.

AI gave you the wrong result.

But was it actually the model's fault?

Before blaming AI, check:

• Prompt clarity
• Missing context
• Model limitations
• Tool/system failures
Not every AI mistake is a prompting mistake.
Diagnose the root cause, not just the output.

What are you seeing with AI agents in production right now?

Mine keep working fine in demos… then quietly break on edge cases, tool calling, or state.

What’s actually failing for you?

AI started ignoring instructions from earlier in your long chat?

It may be context compaction, truncation, or difficulty using earlier details.

My fix: create a verified handoff.

Capture decisions, constraints, progress & next steps.

Then continue in a fresh chat.

Preserve what matters.

You corrected AI yesterday.

Today, it made the same mistake. Why?

Because chat corrections don't normally update model weights.

They influence context. Memory may preserve them across chats.

But that's not the same as retraining.

AI saying "You're right" ≠ model weights changed.

Your AI prompt doesn't need clever words.

It needs:
• Clear objectives
• Relevant context
• Explicit requirements
• Constraints
• Expected output
Add one rule:
"If critical details are missing, ask before proceeding. Don't invent facts."
Clarity beats complexity.

You installed a third-party AI skill.

Did you inspect what it can access or execute?

Skills may contain instructions, scripts, or external resources.

Before enabling one:

• Review its files
• Check permissions
• Limit access
• Test in isolation

Treat skills as a supply-chain risk.

AI delivered exactly what you expected today.

But one successful execution doesn't guarantee future reliability.

Whether you're using AI tools, agents, or workflows, verification still matters.

Automate execution. Maintain accountability.
