Your Omarchy apps, sorted into colored tiles 🟧
Gona Launcher is a full-screen launcher that groups your apps.
Why it's useful:
▸ Apps sit in groups like Web, Dev and Office
▸ Typing filters the apps as you go
▸ Click an app and the launcher closes as it opens
How it works:
icon in the top bar
▸ The first time, pick a preset for the tiles
▸ After that it's one click to any app
Starry Hope's demo: a preset fills the Web, Dev and Office tiles, then typing narrows them down.
You get a launcher you can scan instead of search.
Plugins run with your access and no sandbox, so read the code before installing. Credit and links are in the first reply.
Do you launch apps by typing or by clicking?

Stop juggling a separate key for every Hermes tool 🔑
I checked the @NousResearch Hermes docs today: the Nous Portal path is one login.
The surprise: on a paid Portal plan, that one login turns on a model plus the 4 Tool Gateway tools.
→ Web search
→ Image generation
→ TTS
his after you install Hermes:
hermes setup --portal
One login instead of a pile of API keys.
Fewer things to break, fewer bills to track.
Nice work, @Teknium and team.
Which Tool Gateway tool do you use most: search, images, voice, or browser?

Okay, this one's wild. Omarchy now runs on FreeBSD. 😈
FreeBSD co-founder Jordan Hubbard built Daemonarchy: the Omarchy desktop on FreeBSD 16.0-CURRENT, installed with the same questions as the Omarchy ISO.
What FreeBSD brings to your Omarchy desktop:
▸ Every update saves a rst, so a bad update is one rollback away
▸ Deleted a file? Hourly and daily home snapshots let you copy it back from Files
▸ Jails: lightweight FreeBSD containers with their own packages
▸ bhyve VMs for Linux, Windows or the BSDs
▸ Live DTrace views of what your system is doing
All of it lives in one System › FreeBSD menu.
Same desktop. Different daemon.
Would you put it on a spare machine, or stay on Arch?

Omarchy on FreeBSD! So cool. For many years in the early 2000s, I ran my personal email and web hosting on FreeBSD 🤘 github.com/jordanhubbard/…

Heads up from the README: x86-64 only, ships Omarchy 4.0.4, no NVIDIA driver, and real-GPU/firmware support isn't fully tested yet. Community project, not affiliated with Omarchy.

Your Omarchy desktop now has save slots. 🎮
Set up your coding desk once: browser, terminals, files, services. Save it. Load it tomorrow in one click.
Tableau by Novuon:
▸ Capture Desktop saves the windows you have open
▸ Work and Browse come ready to try
▸ Switch desks from + ALT + T
The catch: switching closes your current desktop, so save your work first. It's a community plugin, not an Omarchy default.
Which desk would you save first: code, research, or chill?

New theme announced, five minutes later it's running on the TV. Love the pace of diffusion in this community!
@dhh's new `jade-horse` and `year-of-the-horse` themes look absolutely magnificent on a big TV screen with OmarchyTV. 🐎✨
Honestly can't decide which one to keep as my daily driver right now - which one would you pick?

Only sandboxed, that agent having access to my clipboard and keyring is crazy
Your AI agent uses your mouse. What if it had its own? 🤖
An open Omarchy pull request proposes an "agent seat".
Why it matters:
▸ Today an agent clicking for you moves your cursor and types into your window
▸ You can't both work at the same time
▸ Anything it opens can reach and keyring
What the agent seat does:
▸ The agent's apps run in a sandbox, on a workspace of their own with an orange outline
▸ The agent gets its own pointer and keyboard
▸ Your mouse and keyboard still work on the same windows
Proposed, not merged: PR #15087 by KewkLW is open and still under review, with 21 comments so far.
The PR and its design notes are in the first reply.
Would you let an agent work beside you on your desktop: yes, only sandboxed, or no?

One command. Omarchy on an iPad. 3.8 minutes. 📱
@henrikklee's installer isn't out yet ("coming soon"), and the clip is sped up, but that's the whole install.
Would you run Omarchy on your iPad?

Omarchy apps might get their own SDK, and it fixes 3 annoyances with Linux apps. 🦀
@hicsfh's ODK (Omarchy Development Kit), from his demo:
▸ Apps that can't snoop: each one runs sandboxed and gets only the permissions it declares
▸ Apps that are one folder: .oma bundles, that all match: switch your theme and every open app follows, live (6:08 in the video)
Built in Rust + GPUI, moving away from Quickshell. It's an early demo.
Which app would you want built on it first?

Right now, letting an AI agent use your computer means it takes over your mouse.
This Omarchy proposal gives it its own instead. You keep working, and it works next to you in a sandbox. 🤖

Hotel Wi-Fi sign-in now works on Omarchy. 🏨
Before, the sign-in button pointed at a page every browser forces to HTTPS, so the hotel's login page never showed up. With a Tailscale exit node on, there was no way in. The workaround was opening neverssl.com.
Now you in the network panel:
▸ The login page opens in a small floating window
▸ Omarchy checks every 2 s and closes it once you're online
▸ A Tailscale exit node is paused for sign-in, then turned back on
DHH tested it live at a hotel: online 16 seconds after the exit node paused.
Merged, not in a release yet.
What's the worst Wi-Fi login you've fought on Linux?

Clippy is back. This time, it teaches you Omarchy. 📎
Installed Omarchy but still discovering what it can do?
@jankeesvw built a paperclip companion that shows tips from the Omarchy manual on your desktop.
• Read a tip.
• Pick one useful action.
• Try it during your next discovering something you didn’t know to search for.
Start with one tip and check its instructions against your installed version before trying it.
Clippy is an optional community plugin; check its current requirements before enabling it.
Video and build: @jankeesvw. Setup and documentation in the first reply.
Which Omarchy shortcut do you wish you’d discovered sooner?
