Original takes that’s different to mainstream narratives.

I take a different approach to weighing opinions, could be interesting. I’m not always right, so feel free to discuss if you’re more knowledgeable.

With consoles now charging subscriptions for everything, steam still provides much better customer based support and improvements.

It shows that the biggest markup will always be simplicity. You can turn on a console and be ready to play, but you often have to troubleshoot much more with a PC.

There’s probably going to be a big push for well built analogue products again.

For a long time it was a status symbol to get the new technology that just realised as there were new features and exciting progress. Now it’s just filled with annoying updates and potential cybersecurity liabilities.

Everyone focuses on different parts of society so everyone finds a different problem, but everyone claims their problem is the most dire.

With the chaos in the world right now, some societies might become decadent. So it’s important to keep score on who’s right and what’s the actual important issues, because we can never fix them all.

I don’t like the nature of pushing group project based learning at any level of school.

It sets the precedent of just accepting your work environment and you spend so much time dealing with each other it’s just inefficient.

It’s claimed to help learn ‘teamwork’ but the real need in the world is real team building. Like how a GM would build a sports team.

AI is best used for repetitive processes, it’s the perfect tool for humans to cut out the boring work and focus on the big ideas and be creative.

Most tend to fall into the opposite though, they leave the thinking and creativity to AI and do the robotic work of writing that up themselves.

With so much real chaos happening around the world, it’s so suprising that the horror and true crime genre is still so popular.

People love to complain about the state of the world and then tune into to more unfortunate events to relax. Maybe it’s an addiction to pessimism.

Social media now sells a life that’s so extravagant and extraordinary. If you want to achieve that kind of success, the kind of success that so many try to sell you on this app, then you need to do what no one else is doing.

Like, not even just outwork them or out endure them. You quite literally have to live your life so uniquely to give yourself that slim possibility of living an extraordinary life.

Parents show always ask a child of their opinion on a topic before they start to lecture.

Not only does this reduce those annoying times where you tell them something they already know, it also helps them verbalise their thoughts and understandings.

There’s a massive difference growing between social commentators right now.

One side contains those who critique world leaders and how bad of a job they are doing without any solutions.

The other simply understands that our world right now presents the perfect situation for those personalities to rise.

They can both be knowledge, but one much more about reality and the other only theory.

There’s an intresting divergence between American and European wealth levels.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the underlying social structures as one favours more capitalism and the other more socialism.

Just like health class, there should be a mandatory class taught for how AI works.

With topics such as how it’s trained, common errors and how it’s significantly biased depending on user prompt.

A lot of miscommunications stem from a lack of long discussions and deep conversations. Without ever knowing how the other person likes to think and what their tendencies are makes understanding incredibly different.

Athletes need so many reps to anticipate and understand each other’s movements. The same goes for any relationship around you.

The world is progressing at a much faster rate than education. Because of this, current graduates and anyone before simply don’t have the skills required to keep up.

Literally the way you learn has changed, current testing methods just don’t reflect the skills in need today.

Sleep has shown to be the most important ingredient for health but most social activities seem to be late night into the early morning.

There might be a big social restructuring needed in the future to better manage sleep. In 200 years they might look back at us like we were idiots.

Trying to engineer the best for you feed on this app is so different. The combination of how you post and how you interact with posts seem to be weighted at random.

Only way this could possibly work is if they logged keystrokes so the app can tell if you typed it out.

Similarly to google docs, the history should detect copy and paste but if someone is typing it out AI texts then there’s no way to differentiate.
X should have a zero tolerance policy for AI replies

Like you do one and your account is suspended for life

Replies are a nightmare now and it's never ever been this bad

AI replies are an an existential threat to the future of this platform, because people will simply stop using it if the vast majority of replies are AI bots

Maybe in the future, work will be treated more like tryouts for sports.

You get to be apart of a team and see how well you fit in to the environment and then the decision is made.
can we separate “being good at interviews” and “good at the job” please? I’m good at my job but I interview like a boiled potato.

The best companies are often ran like religions. It’s very similar idea to try to inspire your community to act on a central belief.

If you read many VC interviews and materials they mention this a lot.
Every religion in history has promised miracles and warned of the apocalypse. Anthropic is the first to file both with the SEC.

I think the reason why vertical touch screen is un-ergonomical is because your fingernail can get in the way of most actions.

You can go try this out on any vertical surface and see how uncomfortable it is. Most touchscreen laptops can be used flat.
