I have just managed to find my way back into my Twitter/X account. I understand this place is not trendy anymore but let me nonetheless share some new publications: a new article in French Cultural Studies, see below

Dwelling is sitting on the counter of the @Selwyn1882 Porters' Lodge - a space that I have been walking through several times a day for more than eight years - I think that wins like this have to be celebrated

I received a signed copy of Getting Out Alive by @rogermosey Master of @Selwyn1882 this morning. (And gave him a copy of my own, Dwelling).

I was browsing the @WIFUKIRE website today and found a photo of me sitting on a panel next to @julie77rodgers and @saschechner in May 2023 - it was such a pleasure to talk about Marie Darrieussecq

What a pleasure to see Dwelling in the @Selwyn1882 library. I have been studying, working, preparing for exams and for my teaching in the Selwyn libraries (in plural as the Bartlam Library has just been built) for 8 years! And now my book is here (and I borrowed it of course)

The beautiful words of @SophieEllis_FR about her chapter in Dwelling
Whilst it feels icky to be publicising myself amidst a backdrop of fascist violence in the UK, I hope that the chapters emphasis on inhospitality and the arbitrariness of place can make sense of the 'defensive domesticity' we're seeing - and perhaps usher towards an alternative.

It is so wonderful to see this photo, I haven't received Dwelling yet myself. The chapter by @SophieEllis_FR focuses on hospitality, virtual and physical, in Haneke's Happy End.
Very surreal to see my first publication in print: a chapter in 'Dwelling: Cultural Representations of Inhabited Places', thoughtfully edited by @OKPetocz and Naomi Segal.
