I've been working for the last few months with a talented team of Melee community members to create 10+ long-form videos about why the scene is still so passionate about our 25 year old game.

The first vid out now! More to come soon!

Smash Summit Was Rigged, link below!

Today’s first time voter was:
- Born in 2008
- 8 years old when Trump was first elected
- In middle school when Covid hit

Tomorrow, November 3rd, is your last chance to vote to get money out of politics, put money in pockets, and pass Medicare for All.

Get out there (and bring a friend!)

Life when you stop going to Smash Bros tournaments

(I unwillingly skipped one major)

do NOT go to your melee local on Halloween

I feel for Spark as a fellow competitor missing out on a big tournament, especially when he had already planned on attending. That honestly is painful.

But man people are so quick to assume the worst in each other, even long-trusted members of the community who have done a lot of good.

People instantly dogging on Ohan for not responding to a discord message need to consider that he may be busy yk… organizing his huge upcoming event😭

Even if this were a more significant mistake, nobody is perfect and this kind of thing doesn’t need to go to social media. Even if Ohan were in the wrong, posting inflammatory things on social media isn’t worth it and isn’t good for the community. It’s self-destructive.

Same goes for all the people who instantly commented shitty things about Ohan. You all should apologize to Ohan — the added context should not have changed anything for you here lol.

Also before “smash community this/that,” look around and understand that social media has kinda made the world fixate on negativity. That being said, way too many smashers be living on twitter (myself included at times), which def makes it worse.

I honestly feel stupid bringing more attention to this bc I already see random ass people who don’t even play smash commenting on the og post. I’m sure Spark feels regret by this point too and doesn’t need 40 more people scolding him. We don’t need to bully people; we just need to learn and move forward.

TLDR: communities require communication between community members, not social media blasting, EVEN IN THE INSTANCE OF A MISTAKE!!

I'm seeing discourse about Ice Climbers handoffs bc of that clip of me getting destroyed LOL. My thoughts are:

Fox: best character in the game
Jigglypuff: dumbest character in the game
Ice Climbers: most broken character in the game

I really disliked the way i played this past Saturday, especially vs Slug. Overall i got outplayed pretty hard and made glaring mistakes.

I think winning with any character in Melee is hard. At the end of the day you just gotta get good. And although handoffs are annoying, i think making more rules to nerf them is excessive and a bad idea.

That being said, let's not act like doing handoffs are crazy hard or cool lol. They require memorizing timings for an inescapable, stationary infinite (which is a 50/50 even in center stage). Lame as hell, real recognize real.

Something really weird happened to me in Melee this morning, and this isn’t me joking.

I learned how to approach…

Wait did anyone know that star KOs show up in the Fountain of Dreams reflection??🤯

And @IGN 's response was to delete their tweet and not the articles. I dont respect them or @Dexerto at all, absolutely shitty imo (and wasnt dexerto's first time doing this, they did it last year to me too). Half-truths constantly just for clicks, fuck the other persons life or the full/true story, right? I'm sure they feel 0% bad too.

My resume has a short bullet point about being sponsored and globally ranked in Smash Bros Melee

I asked one of the doctors I work with (who can be very stern and serious) for a letter of recommendation and this was his response LMFAOO

Man I’m genuinely so proud of what we’ve accomplished with Lucky 7s

I wrote this loose project plan for the project in late 2023.

We’ve always believed that the community needed a central, trusted group that can execute in all areas: Events, technology, player sponsorships, oup that is independent, grassroots, and passionate about re-investing its success back into the scene.

The economics change when you have a group who truly enjoys this work and has no investors to answer to. The community does have money they want to spend, and when we learn there’s a group who can be trusted to multiply that value back into the scene, I do think we can become the first long term sustainable Melee org with S tier execution in all categories that can exist as a strong backbone for the scene for the good times and bad.

Thank you to everybody who’s trusted us and supported us, I don’t take the responsibility lightly. The community has been burnt so many times.

From early day discussions with @0degreewaveland and us chatting in 2022 about feeling we could do it, but thinking the barriers were too tall to climb and then @plushVG joining the team before we even really got started.

To @spotdodge_shine and @ossify37 letting us kick off the org by sending them to Genesis X and @Freezus304 being our first full time sponsored player.

To all of the Steven’s Melee supporting our grand efforts and participating in Breakfast’s early rendition Full House tournaments and @nycmelee for being such a supporting and innovative scene.

To the players from Full House 2025 who trusted a bunch no names to invite them to a mansion and host and intimate wildly ambitious invitational for a weekend @iBDWSSBM @moky_dokie @LiquidHbox @TempoAxe @ZainNaghmi @C9Mang0 @LilTrickshot @n0ned @TrifSmash @SaltSSB @s00nsay @jakedirado @arJunebug @AuraSSBM @KrudoKyle and especially @NotAklo and @DarkGenex for believing in us from the start and putting their neck on the line vouching for our legitimacy. And of course, to @g0shine @ssbm_Horde @findthatyeti_ @beta @josh_fti for being so so essential to making the event happen.

To all the fresh faces and VIPs and commentators @ViciousVish @epengu @jackzilla (and so many more)

And to the latest era of signing @s00nsay @Rap1238727 @kurothearbiter and our Lucky Stats users, subscribers, and all the devs who came before to build the foundations that make it all possible @Fizzi36 @UnclePunch_ @rwing_aitch @jmlee337 @startgg @iphone194629174

All these tags are engagement bait as fuck but I truly appreciate all the collaboration over the years. Thank you.

We have so much more planned and excited to continue this journey with yall. Long live Lucky 7s :)

Craklo is baklo. Been practicing again... watch out

Hello everyone. Platfight is coming up this week, and I come to you with great sadness to say that this event needs help financially. If you are in a position to do so, any support goes a long way. We also have our Merch Shop open. Thank you. ☹️❤️

We are investing early.

Welcome @kurothearbiter to Lucky 7s as Content Director and our first official Content Creator!

So excited to have you on board, Kuro 👑

I did it again...
