Brought my new rig home to clean it, figured it's time, since I bought my new saddle in August. She's weathering quite nicely I must say!! Best purchase evah, well second best.

I had the crystal brow band custom made for my Wonder Woman aka Samoa back in 2020 after we loose thoroughbred for 4 miles through a state park, and saved his life.

The last pic, was when we galloped off, to take care of business, that's what heroes do.
I was born free. There ain't no strings on me. At least that's what Ultron said, and I trust him.

Why is it ok for Democrats to question voting irregularities but not so for Republicans?

They are already gearing up to bastardize the election if Republicans win.
It’s always an activist judge cheating for Democrats. What’s interesting in this case is the judge admits only congress can change voter laws. Well we tried telling the masses this is 2020 when judges interfered in the presidential election.

Someone waited in the attic while a family got ready for bed. More than 114 years later, no one knows who it was.

June 9, 1912. Villisca, Iowa. That Sunday night the Presbyterian church held its Children's Day program, and Sarah Moore had organized it.

She and her husband, d businessman, had four children: Herman, 11, Katherine, 10, Boyd, 7, and Paul, 5. Katherine had invited two friends to sleep over, sisters Lena and Ina Stillinger, 11 and 8.

After the program they all walked home together. They were inside before 10 p.m.

The next morning, the house was silent. No one came out for chores. A neighbor, Mary Peckham, knocked and got no answer. She called Josiah's brother, Ross, who unlocked the door with his own key.

All eight people inside were dead. Six of them were children.

The weapon was Josiah's own axe, left in the guest room.

What investigators found made it stranger. Two cigarette butts in the attic, as if someone had waited up there for the family to come home and fall asleep. Every mirror in the house covered with cloth. A lamp upstairs with its wick turned down low.

Then the town found out. Hundreds of people walked through the house before it was secured, handling everything, including the axe.

Suspects came and went. A traveling preacher, Rev. George Kelly, confessed years later, then took it back. One jury deadlocked. A second acquitted him. A state senator was whispered about but never charged. A drifter was cleared by payroll records.

Nobody was ever convicted.

The little white house still stands on Second Street. You can tour it. You can even spend the night.

Eight people went to bed after a church program and never woke up. And whoever sat in that attic walked away.

Would you spend a night in that house?

Disclaimer: Based on the 1912 coroner's inquest, the 1917 Kelly trials, and Iowa historical records. The case remains officially unsolved.

James Earl Jones had already become one of America’s most respected actors when he fell in love with Cecilia Hart. But when he went to ask her family for permission to marry her, Cecilia’s mother had a concern that had little to do with his career or character. She worried about have together.

Jones was born in Mississippi in 1931 and grew up during segregation. He would eventually rise to the top of his profession, becoming famous for his acting and for a voice recognized by millions. Yet the country was still dealing with the legacy of racial prejudice.

The two met through their work and decided to marry in 1982, more than a decade after the Supreme Court had struck down laws banning interracial marriage. When Jones approached Cecilia’s parents, her mother hesitated. As a white woman she was troubled by the thought that her daughter might have mixed-race children. Jones replied, “You know what? My children are gonna be black either way. What you’re worried about is your grandchildren.”

He later explained that his decision was never about making a political statement. He married Cecilia because he loved her. The couple kept much of their family life private. They welcomed their son Flynn and built a life together that lasted for decades. Flynn eventually became Jones’s assistant and later built a career narrating audiobooks.

Cecilia died of ovarian cancer in 2016, aged 68. James Earl Jones died at his home in Pawling, New York, in 2024, at the age of 93. Their marriage had lasted more than three decades. The prejudice that concerned Cecilia’s mother did not define their marriage. Their love did.

PSA from a Texas grandma: we "fall back" one hour next Sunday, Nov 1. ⏰
That means one glorious extra hour of sleep...
...which Hank and Arlo will NOT honor. Those two run on their bellies, not the clock. 😂
DIY tip while you're thinking about it: next weekend, when you change , the microwave and the car (y'all know that car clock's been wrong since spring), change the batteries in your smoke detectors too. It takes five minutes and could save a life.
And a bonus reminder: Election Day is two days after the time change. Don't let the extra hour make you late to the polls! 🇺🇸

RFK Jr. would be proud of this one. That crunchy cereal starts with a baked sweet potato.

Oats, butter, honey, vanilla and cinnamon turn it into clusters that look a lot like Honey Bunches of Oats. The oats bring soluble fiber, which slows carbohydrate digestion and absorption.
reated corn flakes as a health food. Will added sugar for the mass market over John Harvey's objections, and the two later fought over the business in court.

A century later, sugary, ultra-processed cereals fill the breakfast aisle.

This batch has honey too, but you decide how much. Make it with your kids and teach them what should go in the bowl.
