Omarchy + AI is empowering those who know their business but are not yet comfortable with AI/computers. Some entire business verticals are 20yrs "behind on tech".
Some of these companies will just skip the last 30yrs of computer struggles in one day if they can get some basics .co/U2UEFCcJMV gets them to a well configured agent in claude code on mac.
There is a moment when you SHOW someone the power of AI solving a small problem in their business... it clicks.
The bulb gets brighter as each prompt+answer connects the dots of the possible. If they get stuck its a simple, "What do I do next?"
They have a 50 person IT dept for $200/month.
Help someone make that step.
Its why I built buildlarry.com
Arguably the biggest early adopter story in history.
Love to zoom chat, hmu. calendly.com/nixfred

I'm building a first-person shooter with AI. live. in public. 10 hours in.
it's called SIGKILL. here's the idea:
you start it and it reads your computer. your real folders become the levels. your biggest folder is a skyscraper. node_modules is a maze with no bottom.
the enemies are the programs actually running on your machine. 40 browser tabs? that's a swarm. a maxed-out CPU core? that's the boss.
your own AI, the one you code with every day, jacks in and fights beside you.
every gun is a linux command. kill -9 is a rail rifle. fork() is a shotgun whose pellets split in two. /dev/null is a black hole.
Tron + Matrix + cyberpunk. native linux. it only reads, it never touches your files.
and an AI is writing every line of code right now.
so here's the deal: it has no taste yet. give it yours.
reply with ONE prompt. a weapon, an enemy, a mechanic, a thing you've always wanted in a shooter, a thing you never want to see again.
I'll feed the best ones straight into the build. if yours makes it in, your name goes in the credits.
what are you adding?

Your AI has been watching you code for months.
What would happen if you handed it a weapon?
What if an FPS game map was built from YOUR own machine's structure?
What if YOUR default AI Agent was in the match with you?
What if your terminal fought back?
What if kill -9 was a s Matrix meets Tron.
The big FPS game studios can't ship this...we can.
the daemons know you. you've been feeding them all along.
- levels built live from your own machine
- enemies spawned from the processes you're actually running
- your Omarchy AI joins you in the match
- easy multiplayer invites across the internet
- live GPU stats on the HUD
- Tron meets The Matrix, native on linux
- reads only, never touches your real system
>_ SIGKILL coming soon.
Open Source.
Built for linux.

@ncfrontiersman, co-host, built omastorm
@MichaelGannotti, weekly ai + os roundup
@henrikklee, omarchy on an ipad (yes really)
@tcballard, breaks it so you don't have to
@JamesTervit, writes up every episode
@jrimmer, just shipped fairfax task manager
@Ker0Zelvin, first plugin, synergy clipboard sharing
@NotJustShaking, lee's story is why this matters
@dhh, made the thing
@MarcoPorro, building dock + theme stuff
@derekmross, omarchy evangelist
@simonschubert, made omalauncher (omarchy on your phone)
@SundayBuildClub who'd i miss?

Thanks for the love and thanks to the super pro @calledtocnstrct and @ncfrontiersman for starting this entire FUN!
Omarchy Sunday Builders Club was lit!
Really cool to hear what everyone is working on! I found several new folks to follow on X and a bunch more repos to check out. Thanks to all the speakers for the inspiration!
Thanks to @NixFred & @calledtocnstrct for hosting @SundayBuildClub today!

Infomarchy is ready for Omarchy 4.5
Infomarchy turns your desktop into a live info-desk overlayed to your background picture. Shows every AI agent you're running, what it's doing and your sub burn.
What Infomarchy needed to be Omarchy 4.5 ready:
O4.5 ships 22 usage collectors, one per agent. Infomarchy read the records alphabetically and capped them at 16, so ollama, openrouter, qwen, synthetic, vibe and zai got silently dropped. The cap is now 48, with a test that fails on the old one.
The new Claude collector dies with a KeyError when OMARCHY_PATH is unset, which would have left Claude limits stale with no warning. Infomarchy now passes it explicitly.
Qt 6.12 needed the palette singleton qualified as Commons.Color so theme colors resolve. Codex threads no longer double count after a rename.
Tested on 4.5.rc1 with Qt 6.12: 0 QML errors, the SUPER+D overlay works, and the Claude, Codex and Grok limit bars are live.
FREE and MIT:

omarchy builder #19: @wardaug5399
Warren Westfall is a pipeline controller in Alaska. About 530,000 barrels a day across 800 miles of pipe and 3 mountain ranges, from a control room "automated to the hilt."
Omarchy clicked for him in a few days:
"I've always been a keystroke e been looking for!"
Now every machine he owns runs it. He built an expenses widget for the omarchy bar and a local AI setup on his RTX 3070 Ti.

Here's my take on the coming AI valley.
They say the frontiers burn $8k-$12k operating costs for each $200 subscriber. I think those numbers are close and don't think today's subscription pricing remains $200/m by this time next year. Frontiers are facing pressure to recover lley begins when subscriptions become priced at their true operating costs. The AI valley's biggest hit will be the gap between what folks can locally afford compared to the cloud reasoning they grew accustomed to and will have to pay full price.
Open weights on consumer gpus will always trail frontier by years and that gap will be even more painful for folks spoiled by $200/month subscriptions soon to be 'full price'.
My laptop RTX5070 chokes down 8b-14b models 'OK' at best for simple code, rag, and small tool calls and are years away from being similarly useful... if ever.
For some pending $200 a month beats $6K upfront for lower quality output and a 3-4yr shelf life... likely still spending the same $200/m on a sub. When the AI valley arrives most folks wont drop $6k to be comparatively disappointed. It will be a harsh winter for folks in the middle drunk frontier output and have no access to real local.
I think the future will be model routing. Execute local and send reasoning to the cloud...that reasoning will likely still be $200 but far less tokens served.
I'm not sure where the coming AI valley takes us...Id love to hear your thoughts. Where am I wrong and what am I missing?
My $ is on @0xSero and Id love to hear his opinion.

omarchy builder #18: @RidgetopAI
Brian Jones was a Navy electronics tech who taught himself BASIC on a TI 99.
Now he builds every night. His project is Mandrel, a Postgres memory and decision graph for AI agents. It's open source:
github.com/RidgetopAi/man…
His reason: "Because I toy."
Full story and 6 shorts:

What are you building that isn't a toy?

submitted 3 PR's to his how.nixfred.com based on what I've learned building AI project memory.
