Onchain rails into local currency keep getting stronger, and that's good for everyone building in emerging markets. Good to see @stripe pushing this forward @sternhenri.
Businesses can now offramp stablecoins (OUSD, USDC, etc.) to local bank accounts in nine currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, MXN, BRL, ARS, COP, PHP, and NGN.

Stripe routes payouts over local payment networks, including Pix in Brazil, Faster Payments in the UK, and NIP in Nigeria.

Watch: @stablecoing on why @eldoradoio partnered with @talamobile instead of building credit themselves 👇

Most of onchain credit today = lock $100 to borrow $90. Tala is unsecured: no collateral, underwritten on behavioral signals. $9B+ lent to 14 million people globally. Now people already trust.

Once live, customers can go from offer to USDT in seconds, settled onchain on @tempo.

At @money2020 and the emerging markets conversation is everywhere. Big step from @circle taking USDC to ~40 new markets. Digital dollar access is step one. Building things that give end users new utility is the real challenge. Building on these rails? Let's talk.
🔥 BIG: Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire says the USDC issuer is eyeing around 40 new developing markets across Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East as stablecoins hit the "mainstream scaling phase."

Congrats @DenelleDixon and team. Putting assets to work for more builders is where the real utility is. Let's go 🚀
Tokenization is just the beginning. What matters is what we can actually DO with those assets once they're onchain. With @chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams now live on @StellarOrg, we're opening up new possibilities for lending, trading, and putting real-world assets to work.

This is how we build a better, global financial system.

Crypto is increasingly becoming less about crypto.

That was my biggest takeaway from @token2049 Singapore. The most interesting conversations weren't about whether people will own more tokens. They were about rebuilding financial infrastructure around stablecoins, realtime n capital.

Five themes stood out:

→ Stablecoins are becoming the settlement layer under wallets, remittances and cross-border payments

→ The wallet is becoming the financial operating system, with the blockchain abstracted away

→ Onchain finance is moving well beyond trading

→ AI agents are starting to look like economic actors

→ And perhaps most importantly, emerging markets may have an opportunity to leapfrog legacy financial infrastructure rather than replicate it.

This last point is particularly exciting for us @talamobile. Imagine combining local data and underwriting intelligence with global liquidity, programmable money and embedded distribution.

That is a very different financial system from the one we have today. Local intelligence. Global capital. Instant settlement. Financial services embedded wherever people already live and transact.

And it reinforces something I've increasingly believed: the biggest opportunity in financial technology is in building the infrastructure and intelligence that allows financial services to be embedded everywhere. And this is what we have built at Tala.

If you run a wallet, fintech or platform and want to offer credit to your customers, I’d love to talk. DM me.

As expected, @thestablecon delivered. Finally getting around to sharing reflections.

Shared the stage with Matt Schaar of @Accion and Rafael Espinosa Aranda of @chippercashapp to discuss why mission-driven builders must maintain unit economics discipline in order to scale access the global majority.

We also co-hosted a breakfast with @Crossmint. Our integration went live recently, embedding @talamobile's credit engine into their wallet infrastructure for builders to leverage.

There's undeniable movement into onchain credit now. The market is increasingly catching on to the value of the infrastructure we've spent ten years building.

Real opportunity to expand access for the global majority. If you're building in this space, reach out.

Live today: any team building on @crossmint can now plug @talamobile's credit engine directly into their wallet. You unlock a high-retention revenue stream and give your users instant access to capital right where they are. Tala handles the balance sheet, underwriting, and risk.

Huge thanks to @rodrifernandezt and the Crossmint team for building with us. We're @thestablecon this week. If you're a wallet in need of a credit stack, let's talk.

New research project from @talamobile: training transaction foundation models on public blockchain data.

The problem: LLMs trained on the open internet are cheap and available. Financial behavior has no equivalent, most of the high-signal data sits behind institutional firewalls.

This is the gap Tala was built to close.

- 10+ years underwriting thin-file borrowers, no off-the-shelf product existed so we built our own models on messy, non-standard data
- Next-gen model estimate: 10B+ parameters, ~1T tokens, trained on public blockchain data
- Better precision = bigger underwritable population = better risk-adjusted returns for lenders
- Big unlock for stablecoins specifically — no real uncollateralized credit exists there today, which creates capital/liquidity issues. This is exactly what we're solving.

Full post linked below. If you're building onchain financial products, let's talk 🚀

Dollar-denominated stablecoins are practical financial infrastructure in emerging markets, but the opportunity comes with trade-offs that we can’t ignore.

Looking forward to discussing the ins and outs with @Parbhoo_Amee (@Accion) and Rafael Espinosa Aranda (@chippercashapp) at .

Replying to @NicCabrera_
Move $200T onchain and it still reaches the same people — that's new rails, not a new system.

We're building the intelligence layer at @talamobile: a tokenized lending platform with our underwriting built into partners' platforms, powered by 10 years of behavioral and repayment data — pricing thin-file borrowers no bureau has ever seen.

Open rails + AI-native credit intelligence isn't just moving today's credit market onchain. It's making an entirely new population visible to global capital.

Credit is moving onchain. That's half the story.

Agree with a lot of what @PaulFrambot shared with @jacqmelinek about how open infra connects capital globally, and $30B onchain today has a real shot at the $200T credit market.

But a blockchain doesn't know who should get that capital, or what responsible credit looks like for someone traditional finance can't see.
