He quickly discovers that hard work is not exclusive to Africans. Europeans work just as hard, if not harder, but often operate in environments where their efforts are rewarded with better wages, functional infrastructure, stronger institutions and a higher quality of life. The difference isn't necessarily who works harder, but the environment in which that hard work takes place.
