AI does NOT understand the crazy, real-world politics of IT and AI has NEVER lived through the actual IT nightmares

You need to get out there, learn the real-world skills, and master your craft

@NetworkChuck learning anything with AI. When you're starting from zero you don't know what to ask. AI might assume that you know more than you do and you end up down some rabbit hole that you're not ready for and just get more confused. The struggle to learn is real. Real important.

@NetworkChuck But crazy politics and IT nightmares are created by humans, so logically, if you remove the humans..

@NetworkChuck We in our IT Infrastructure rarely use AI for configurations of server and firewalls

Only troubleshooting part requires use of AI - that too once in a queue of multiple tickets

@NetworkChuck I'd gladly do that if somebody would actually hire me. It seems like the industry only wants people who have five to ten years of experience, even for the entry-level stuff, not to mention the requirements for intermediate-level stuff.

@NetworkChuck Almost everything hard about doing IT has nothing to do with IT and everything to do with people, expectations, business functions and communication. IT is almost just a flavoring. More often than not, you have to fight to be allowed to do your job. AI won’t help with that.
